It appears the US House Republican caucus is clearing the bench to bail out Laurie Buckhout‘s campaign for North Carolina’s 1st congressional district.
The First was gerrymandered to the detriment of incumbent Democrat Don Davis. But after evaluating the fundraising totals, the few polls out there, and the word on the street within the district, it appears Davis is set to knock off Buckhout for the second time in a row.
National Republicans – running two House races and one Senate race in NC – are in real danger of going 0 for 3 in North Carolina for 2026.
I’m hearing from sources on the ground in the district that several pro-Buckhout polls have been conducted recently. Interestingly, no results have been publicly released.
But the DC GOP is coming to the rescue Friday night in Nash County:
Not exactly an inspiring crew, there. But I do have to admit I’m a Brandon Gill fan. His father-in-law is conservative author / pundit Dinesh D’Souza and Brandon appears to be following in Dinesh’s footsteps.
Brutal campaign. Terrible Party Leadership. You can bet on this. She is going to lose.
