Burr: Ready to battle Syria, but NOT ObamaCare

It appears Sir Richard of Winston has found his spine:

Civilized people should be outraged by the deaths of thousands of Syrian civilians and the many more who have been maimed in this horrible civil war. The Syrian regime’s use of chemical weapons against civilians is morally repugnant and violates long held standards of conduct.  Short of putting troops on the ground, it is time for the United States and our NATO allies to take necessary, punitive military action against the Syrian regime and send a clear signal to its leadership, and others in the region who may be contemplating using weapons of this nature, that there are consequences for these actions.

r-RICHARD-BURR-DADT-large570When I heard Burr’s buddies John McCain and Lindsey Graham were all for this, I knew it would only be a matter of time before our senior US senator jumped on the bandwagon.

(Speaker Boehner is all for this misadventure in Syria.  Want to place a bet on how long it takes for Renee Ellmers to shout out “Me, too” ?)

It’s apparently fine to drop bombs on Bashar Assad’s head — but don’t dare upset Harry Reid with this ObamaCare defunding thing.  Sorry, Richard.  Going forward with this scheme in Syria is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

We don’t have a dog in this fight.   Both sides in Syria are bad.  Assad AND his late father have been making mayhem, committing murder, and sponsoring terrorism for aeons.  Al Qaeda is behind the so-called rebels.  There’s no one to cheer for in this Syria fight.
