Those CHURCH people
It’s pretty obvious the Left thinks people who spend their Sundays in church are kooks. (*Never mind Rosa DeLauro or Bernie Sanders. Watch out for THAT guy over THERE! He teaches Sunday School !!! *)
You see it throughout pop culture. Characters in movies and TV shows who pray, or even talk about praying, are portrayed as out there. If they object to marital infidelity or,um, alternative lifestyles on the grounds of their personal faith beliefs, they are narrow-minded and bigoted. Or hypocrites or scoundrels in the mold of Jimmy Swaggart or Jim Bakker.
In 2008, we met Barack Obama’s preachers. There was a loud black guy named Jeremiah Wright who sermonized about how America needed to be punished for its “crimes” and how white people needed to pay, too. There was also a Father Michael Pfleger who shared the pulpit with Wright. Pfleger – a white man, himself, preached the Marxist line and inexplicably also sermonized about the evils of white people. Right-minded people justifiably asked that Barry Obama’s frame-of-mind be examined closely, since he spent his Sundays being indoctrinated by these two charlatans.
Lefties and their driveby comrades told us Barry’s faith was his business and his business alone. It was immaterial to the campaign, we were told. Faith should not be an issue in evaluating Obama, we were told, just like it was not with JFK.
Well, that all went out the window in 2012. We got a whole lot of coverage of Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith. We heard all about the “strange” beliefs of that denomination, and Romney was badgered to reassure us all that his Mormon beliefs would not be part of his presidential decision-making process.
Now, let’s look at how 2016 front-runner Ben Carson is faring with the drivebys. He’s getting the same kind of rectal exam Clarence Thomas got during his confirmation hearing
s. *We just can’t have a high-profile black person refusing to worship the gospel of the welfare state and praise the Democrat Party!*
The Washington Post has a feature story today about Ben Carson mentioning ”11 times God intervened directly” in his life. In 2008, a high-profile black candidate’s faith was out-of-bounds. In 2012, that rule is being thrown out to punish a high-profile black candidate who dared to step off the plantation.
The Post article — on its face — would not, at first, be a surprise to anyone who regulary attends Sunday worship services. There are many Christians who will tell you of times they believe God intervened in the lives. But The Post decides to channel the venom of that non-funny d-bag Jon Stewart with lines like this:

3. God gives Ben Carson $10.[…]
5. God retrieves Ben Carson’s stolen passport.[…]
6. God helps Ben Carson replace his secretary.[…]
11. God helps Carson have an enjoyable African safari.[…]
*Classy.* And here’s more *classy* goodness from a leftist web site about Carson and the Seventh Day Adventist faith.
And here’s a contributor to Forbes’s website claiming Carson — in a 1998 speech — suggested space aliens built the Egyptian pyramids.
Never mind that this Carson guy has done more good for other people in his life than Barry and Mooch-elle COMBINED. Never mind the hate-filled antics Barry and Mooch-elle sat through on Sundays in Chicago. This Carson guy has bought into conservatism, and must be destroyed.
It’s incredibly,um, *heart-warming* to witness this mud-slinging, hatred, slander and venom from the crowd that lays the claim to “compassion” and “sensitivity” in American politics and society.
Your assertion that the Left does not go to church was quickly and convieniently reversed by your own documentation of President Obama, JFK and some of the radical Left preachers out there. Thanks. Unfortunately, you failed to distinguish a double standard as SOME on both the Left and the Right use a candidate’s religion as a potential (yet weak) weapon against an opponent. This is nothing new and is easy to slant it to one side or the other as you have done here. From the Right, this cycle, I’ve heard plenty about B. Sanders Jewish faith as something to be feared as well.

Not in so many words but that is pretty much what the very first sentence says.

(And Jeremiah Wright’s famous “God Damn America” sermons, with Obama and his sour-puss wife in the front pew). A perfect synopsis of Hussein Obama’s failed presidency!
Now why (all of a sudden) do we see this attack by the Main Stream Media on Dr, Ben Carson?
Well, I think for two reasons. One, some polls have Dr. Carson ahead of Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton was comfortable with Trump being ahead, as a national polls indicated Hillary would beat Trump in the general.
But (lo and behold) with Carson surging, another poll indicated that if Carson was the Republican nominee, he would beat the Hildabeast!
All of a sudden, Hillary and the Democrat National Committee got scared. So, they gave their willing sycophants in the Main Stream Media their marching orders:
ATTACK AND DESTROY BEN CARSON AT ALL COSTS! As Justice Clarence Thomas said: “a high tech lynching of an uppity nigger!”
So now we have all the Main Stream Media talking heads reporting that “when Ben Carson was five years old, he farted in church, and may even have failed to wipe his ass after defecating!”
“Why (WHY) he’s even a Seventh Day Adventist, and believes in…….GOD!”
And thus, we are treated to the Main Stream Media’s “Lions, Tigers and Bears! Oh My!” coverage of Dr. Ben Carson, which masquerades as journalism these days.
I was going to vote for Donald Trump. But now that I see the Main Stream Media’s craven attempts to smear and destroy a good man (Dr. Ben Carson), I’m going to vote for him!
