More lip service to *family values*

We told you recently about folks who pay a lot of lip-service to the concept of  *family values* and clean living, but don’t actually do much of anything to bring about those ends.  And here comes Tami Fitzgerald and her peeps at the so-called NC Values Coalition to provide a great piece of evidence to make our case for us.

Our sources in Rockingham and Guilford Counties are telling us that Tami and NC Values are intervening in the Senate District 26 GOP primary between Phil Berger and sheriff Sam Page.  Tami and the gang are sending out mailers to district voters claiming Berger is “keeping boys out of girls sports.”  (As though Sam Page is encouraging and inviting boys to join the girls basketball team.)

Let’s take a good look at Phil & Tami’s record on fighting the good fight for *family values.*

Former state treasurer Dale Folwell made it clear that neither Phil Berger, Tim Moore, nor Destin Hall would join his ultimately-successful legal fight to restore the ban on sex change procedures being paid for by the state health plan.  They were apparently fine with state tax dollars continuing to fund sex changes.

Phil Berger and Tim Moore led the big cave on repealing HB2the legislation which said men can only use men’s restrooms and locker rooms, while only actual women can use women’s restrooms and locker rooms.

THIS very year, Phil Berger led the effort to derail senate bill 516 – which would have required bathroom use to match *birth sex* and would have put the kibosh on changing things like, oh, GENDER on birth certificates. Berger wouldn’t even allow the bill to get a hearing.

This is not the first sketchy Raleigh politico Tami and her gang have run interference for.  She got called out for defending DEI-loving former state schools superintendent Catherine Truitt.  DEI, as you may have heard, pretty clearly discriminates against white, heterosexual, church-attending males.

And here’s Tami endorsing the state GOP chairmanship campaign of convicted criminal Robin Hayes.  (Here are the *receipts* that led to Hayes’s indictment and conviction in a federal bribery probe.)

*Oh, did we forget to mention that Tami’s son-in-law is a former senator and ally of Phil Berger?*
