RNC paid Michael Whatley more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS

On February 28, 2022, Michael Whatley was named general counsel of the Republican National Committee.  (I guess it didn’t matter that he wasn’t licensed to practice law at the time.)

On March 8, 2024,  Whatley and Lara Trump were picked to co-head the RNC.  

On January 17, 2025, Whatley was elected chairman of the RNC.

On July 24, 2025, Whatley announced he was running for US Senate in North Carolina.

Now, if my math is right, that comes to $1,175,465 in pay for roughly ten months in 2024 and roughly seven months of 2025.   *That’s a nice gig, if you can get it.*
