Big Dem areas reporting early

Buncombe County — Asheville — and Wake County — Raleigh — have submitted most of their results thus far in this nail-biter.  Mecklenburg — home of Charlotte and a Dem stronghold — has yet to report, as has Guilford — home of Greensboro. 

Burr and Trump are in close races.  Cooper is pulling away from Pat McCrory.

Most of GOP-heavy western North Carolina still needs to come in. Moore and Johnston counties have not reported.  For GOPers, it’s not exactly slit-your-wrists time. Lots of action left to go.
