That’s tonight’s headline on our local Pulitzer-Prize-winning two-days-a-week drive-by paper’s web site.

Deign?  What exactly is Pinehurst planning to do to the library?  I checked the dictionary:

So, Pizzella, Strickland and the gang are preparing to condescend to the village’s public library?  The Given Library is beneath their “dignity” ???

Well, those guys ARE snobs who like to cocktail with other snobs.  They ought to be pretty good at deigning.
