NBC News: Tillis says defense of Jan. 6 protesters ‘bull$hit’
C’mon, Whatley & company. Give us your defense of this.
This sewer rat Tillis skedaddled into our state a few years back. Backed by sketchy BIG Charlotte money, he took over the legislature and swiped Jesse Helms’s Senate seat. He’s repeatedly thumbed his nose at the conservatism that has given the NCGOP what wins it has managed to score. It’s almost as though he’s the star player in a leftist false-flag op to implode the NCGOP.
Tucker Carlson was the subject of our senior senator’s ire this time. (ThommyT sure didn’t 
mind going on Tucker’s show a few years back to attack President Trump’s border wall proposal.)
Speaker McCarthy released a whole lot of security footage from January 6 that Speaker Pelosi had kept from us. I had seen some of this before over at The Epoch Times.
NBC caught up with Thommy Boy, and here is what they got:
A handful of Senate Republicans on Tuesday pushed back on conservative Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he characterized the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol as “mostly peaceful chaos,” with North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis blasting those remarks as “bullshit.”
Carlson, the popular but controversial figure on Fox, made those comments to his millions of viewers Tuesday night as he aired select clips of never-before-seen surveillance footage of the Capitol on Jan. 6 and downplayed the violent insurrection that injured 140 police officers during an hours-long assault.
“I think it’s bullshit,” Tillis told reporters in the Capitol.[…]
Wow. He actually has the nerve to call comments coming out of someone else’s mouth ‘bullshit.’

I was down there and I saw maybe a few tourists, a few people who got caught up in things,” he added. “But when you see police barricades breached, when you see police officers assaulted, all of that … if you were just a tourist you should’ve probably lined up at the visitors’ center and came in on an orderly basis.”
Tillis said Carlson’s depiction was as “inexcusable” and compared it to those who downplayed the fires and “devastation” during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 2020 following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man.[…]
THIS is why you see so little from the GOPe about those folks locked up in solitary in DC for two years with no trial – no due process. Or about the folks who have their front doors kicked down by armed federal stormtroopers and are dragged off in front of their families. Sewer rats like THIS GUY.
When you have an (R) next to your name, but your commentary mirrors that of Chuck Schumer, there is a HUGE problem.
Carlson’s show is featuring the released J6 tapes Monday night and Tuesday night. (You can stream his full shows via the Fox News app.)
If you watch the tape, you can see footage of Capitol officers laughing about hitting unarmed protesters with concussion grenades. Those things HURT and can set you on fire. That happened to at least two protesters that day. Both men ended up dying from cardiac arrest.
Tucker condemned the people seen on camera breaking windows and doors and damaging federal property. A couple dozen idiots out of a population of about one million protesters qualifies as “mostly peaceful.”
The footage also shows an unconscious light-skinned woman laid out on the ground near the Capitol building. A black female officer can be seen exiting the building and beating the unconscious woman with a baton. Reverse the races and you’d have riots, arrests, and congressional hearings. Instead, we have Thom labeling it all ‘bullshit.’
Other footage shows a pack of armored officers pushing a woman around inside the building like a ball in a pinball machine. She can be seen bouncing off the officers’ shields. She loses her shoes and nearly loses her clothing.
Other footage shows an armed officer throwing an unarmed male protester off an exterior stairwell — at least a 50 foot drop – instead of pulling him over the railing and detaining him.
No police officers died that day. Four protester deaths can be linked to the police response that day. Officer Sicknick — who the media said was murdered with a fire extinguisher — was seen on tape walking around inside the building AFTER the media had reported him DEAD.
Let’s not forget Ashli Babbitt. She was unarmed. An armed officer shot her dead, with absolutely no warning, while she was climbing through a broken window. The officer was not punished and kept his job.
Actually, senator sewer rat, the real ‘bullshit’ here is the GOP establishment’s tolerance of authoritarian, brutal tactics by the Biden Administration. People have been charged and jailed for crimes as innocuous as taking a selfie at the Capitol that day.
Senator Sewer Rat bitches about police being “assaulted.” I guess he missed the footage of firehoses and pepper spray cannons being fired full-blast at nearly point-blank range on the unarmed protesters. I can imagine people on-site got angry about stuff like that.
There was a complete failure of police training that day. Perhaps they were undermined by leftist superiors eager to set up a violent confrontation.
There was plenty of footage of officers opening doors and removing barricades for the protesters. That would suggest the people were welcome to pass through. If senator sewer rat wants to call that “breaching,” that’s unfortunate.
If Thom Tillis really wants to throw in his lot with people cheering on tactics not seen since the last coup in Venezuela or the fall of communism in Europe, then we’ve really lost the GOP.
Those of us who cherish freedom and oppose authoritarianism have few options to turn to anymore. The drive-by media is a pack of liars who will parrot the talking points of the government or advertisers to dismiss or bury important news like vaccine failures, pediatric sex changes, and brutality against civilians.
We’ve got few, if any, elected leaders in either party ready to stand for freedom and against tyranny like we’ve seen on display with January 6 and its aftermath.
How much more, fellow Tar Heels, of the Tillis slime will we stand for? He knows his PAC 
took money stolen from FTX investors, but shows no interest in giving it back. He’s made it clear – back to his speaker days – that he decides on legislation based on whether and how much he gets paid. He’s backed gun control, amnesty for illegals, open borders, big spending, and gay marriage. All stuff that flies in the face of the party platform. He campaigned on NONE of that. No one sent him to DC to do that.
The weak GOP leadership in my home county backed off of censuring Tillis. They feared ThommyT might not take their phone calls anymore. Who cares? These people have surrendered the rights granted to them by our Founding Fathers and The Constitution. Tillis and his minions work for us.
We are not meant to beg for scraps from HIM. That’s how it has worked in an awful lot of failed countries and societies over the centuries.
Terry Sanford , John Edwards and Kay Hagan …..any of them were better for NC values than that scum bag charlatan Tillis. Obviously he’s never running for office in NC again.
Tucker just gave Tillis airtime, along with Mitt Romney, McConnell and the SWAMP RATS for outrage over J6 Tapes being shown…..

And don’t forget that Tillis is eyeing a race for governor in 2024. We do not need Tillis’ man Whatley running the NCGOP during that potential primary. Tillis was there standing with Whatley when he announce for reelection last month, and was one of the key players in getting Whatley to run in his first race. The first step in replacing Tillis is to replace Whatley at this year’s state GOP convention. If we want a conservative nominee for govenror, that is absolutely essential.

We must force Whatley’s hand on this one! Either the NCGOP censures Tillis or the party itself will be irrelevant here in North Carolina.
If 5 or 6 of the party’s top donors withhold funding from NCGOP and instead donate to state-based 527 PACs, it will send a loud message. Education First Alliance is an example of a PAC that recruits, trains, and elects staunch conservatives in our state and there are several others. In order to compete with the NCGOP, these PACS need the resources to build the infrastructure necessary to win statewide races.
We need competition in the political action market in order to improve the NCGOP’s output.

Whatley is protecting Tillis. The NCGOP is months overdue for a State Executive Committee meeting to approve its 2023 budget and is spending money illegally by not calling that meeting, as it has no authority to spend money without a budget. Whatley is doing this to protect Tillis because he was aware that there were multiple resolutions floating around at the December ExCom meeting that was called too close to Christmas and therefore did not get a quorum, so he does not want to call another meeting, even with the budget waaay overdue. Whatley is abusing his authority as chairman to protect his political godfather, Thomboy Tillis.
The NCGOP desperately needs a new state chairman who is not a Tillis flunky. Tillis’ appearance at Whatley’s announcement for reelection says it all. This is NOT a guy we need heading our party.

Tillis obviously did not watch the Tucker Carlson show the night before his comments about the show. He misrepresented what Carlson said. Why would anyone oppose airing actual video?? It is also likely that Tillis in unaware of a lot of other video that gives lie to the Democrat narrative about January 6, 2021 at the Capitol. No one has said nothing happened that day. To argue the straw man that if you do not agree to the “insurrection” narrative that you are then denying anything happened is part of the deception.

Shumaker is also Tillis’ consultant and was McCrory’s in his last campaign. He is an establishment hack of the worst order. He and Stewart are total slimeballs. Whatley has also hired Shumaker to run some operations. So the connection with the RINOs is even deeper than just in the General Assembly.
Civitas found that some big time hard left national groups were funding Shumaker’s and Stewart’s efforts for the wind and solar grifters. A group called “Conservatives for Clean Energy” is as much an oxymoron as “Jews for Hitler”.
If I find Shumaker or Stewart connected to a campaign, I have a hard time voting for their candidate. When you lie down with dogs, you get fleas.

RINO John Szoka was one of the scroundrels involved in that and has had Congressional ambitions. He filed for Congress under the previously adopted map that was thrown out. If that becomes the new map and he runs, conservatives should do everything possible to take him out in the primary, and if not, just sit the race out in November. Szoka is a traitor who sold his soul to the green left. North Carolina does NOT need an Al Gore / Greta Thunberg “Republican” sitting in one of our Congressional seats.
RINO House Speaker Tim Moore was also a big player in screwing North Carolina on HB951 and he is also absolutely unacceptable as a member of Congress, which he wants to be. Conservatives should work hard to be certain he never gets there.
Indeed, any candidate who hires green left goons Paul Shumaker or Dee Stewart should be avoided like the plague. They should be the kiss of death for any candidate they work for.

I believe, from what I’ve seen, and from people that were there, Babbitt was being pushed through that hole.
What in the world is the Moore County GOP waiting for? Thom Tillis is a traitor to all Conservatives. I escaped to beautiful Moore County from The Peoples Republic of New York and am lucky to live here. But when I see that our local GOP does nothing to defend conservatism I get worried. We do not want to become New York! Take action now and prove that you are truly Conservative, censure Thom Tillis!
