Guess WHO ELSE has got that ‘Berger Fever’.

That’s right.  It appears senator Phil Berger has the *grouchy, confused old lady* vote wrapped up for the 2026 GOP primary.

“All roads in North Carolina’s conservative  movement trace back to Phil Berger” ???

(Is she kidding ???)

What about — say — Jesse Helms, John East, and Lauch Faircloth?  Those three racked up pretty impressive conservative credentials during their time in DC.  Congressman Jim Gardner was not too shabby either.

Perhaps that tumble down the stairs played havoc with Mrs. Foxx’s memory.   You have to ask: Does Virginia Foxx even recognize conservatism when she sees it?

For the most recent rated congressional session (the 118th), Foxx had one of the most liberal voting record ratings (60 per cent) among House Republicans from North Carolina.  Patrick McHenry (53 percent) was the only NCGOP member of Congress who voted to the left of Foxx.  The average conservative voting record rating for a House Republican was 74 percent.   SO, McHenry AND Foxx were to the left of their GOP colleagues in the House.

As far as all that stuff she claims Uncle Phil pushed through Jones Street — all I can say is *wow.*

Phil Berger is motivated mostly by our national currency and its green hue. If you have pockets stuffed with large-denomination bills, Phil wants to hear what you have to say.

He’s worked with Tim Moore and Thom Tillis to kill bills introduced by actual conservatives.  Berger admitted on the record that the people had been overtaxed and needed to have some money refunded. *Perhaps a tax rate cut?*  That conservative-sounding talk faded away and fell off the radar faster than it appeared.

Berger cooperated with efforts to reverse the so-called ‘Bathroom Bill.’  He hugged up to Tim Moore and Roy Cooper to expand that fraud-infested mess called Medicaid.  Let’s not forget that he teamed with casino developers to shove casino gambling down the throats of his own constituents (and the rest of us).

Uncle Phil has also been quite sympathetic to the burgeoning crusade in our state to legalize marijuana.

The so-called *conservative revolution* hasn’t done much to slow the rapid growth in state spending.

During the Berger era in Raleigh, the concept of *public service* has been replaced with *self-service.*  Jobs and big salaries have been doled out to Berger cronies.  (We’ve been stuck with the bill.)

Fifteen years into Raleigh’s *conservative revolution*, things are not much better than they were in the Basnight / Black era.

As far as Virginia Foxx and conservatism go, it seems like just yesterday when she was snapping at and mocking conservatives seeking her help in killing ObamaCare in the cradle.

So, it appears Virginia Foxx has been sampling the same witch’s brew Ted Budd did.

It’s amazing that DC Republicans are getting involved in a GOP primary for a state senate seat that doesn’t even come up until 2026.

Aspiring kingpin Phil Berger is facing a tough challenge from Rockingham County sheriff Sam Page.  Page is a popular figure within the district who has racked up an impressive record in  law enforcement and other public service. Page was there with the Tea Party, and he’s been strong with the MAGA movement and the effort to secure the borders.

While Phil Berger hides in Raleigh with his cash and cronies, Sam Page spends his time among the people he serves.

You folks in Rockingham County and Guilford County have a great opportunity to do a real service for your state and its residents.  Your decisions at the polls affect all of us in this great state.  Send your sheriff to Raleigh to clean up the Berger family’s mess and let some sunshine in on the happenings on Jones Street.
