Don’t like attempts to save the country? Then, (1) smear Elon and (2) lie to your readers.
Our country has so much debt that it outweighs the value of our national economy. If we don’t do anything, the good ol’ US of A and its economy will go toes-up.
The natural, logical response when faced with overwhelming debt is to cut expenses. It’s what McClatchy has been doing in an attempt to keep its money-bleeding Marxist newspaper properties in North Carolina afloat. Lots of pink slips have been handed out at The Charlotte Observer and The Raleigh News & Observer. (Unfortunately, the recipients of said pink slips learned nothing and went off to form brand new Marxism-spewing publications.)
Here’s The N&O — and one of its DEI newsroom hires — running with the Democrat spin that multi-billionaire Elon Musk wants to steal your social security and credit card numbers:
[…] Musk, 53, is the richest man on earth. He is a billionaire from South Africa who immigrated to the United States in college. He owns Tesla, SpaceX and X, the social media platform.[…]
Here we go with one of the biggest, most shameless lies of this piece. Musk has been a US citizen since 2002. Why say he’s from South Africa? No mention of the 23 years of US citizenship. Why not?
The US citizenship was revealed to us in a simple Google search. Why couldn’t this DEI hire writer do that, too?
Oh, the stupidity and deceit roll on.
MORE:
[…] Megan Robinson, a constituent of Rep. Mark Harris, was among those who said she tried calling and emailing. “My husband and I both tried calling the two North Carolina senators (DC and NC numbers) for days and only got busy signals,” Robinson told McClatchy in an email. “For Rep. Harris, we tried several of his numbers as well and got ‘voice mail box full’ messages.” Harris’ North Carolina office is having problems with their digital phone service, but his team says they’re actively answering the phone in Washington.
Robinson said after expressing her frustration that she could not reach Harris’ staff by phone, she did receive a call to let her know that they received her email. She said she received, days later, a generic email response that made her question its accuracy. Robinson, who lives in Matthews, said she reached out to Harris and Sens. Thom Tillis and Ted Budd, all Republicans, about her concerns on the Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, and billionaire Elon Musk. “The concerns I expressed were about the access of DOGE to our personal data,” Robinson said.
“My family has been the victim of many of the large corporate hacks, leading to years of having to do privacy monitoring and fight potential identity theft. I have major concerns about unelected 20-year-olds without security clearance, as well as Musk, who is a self-professed drug user, having access to all our data.” Robinson said it doesn’t seem safe or legal.
Musk posted on social media he uses ketamine, the drug that killed Friends’ star Matthew Perry, to battle his depression. He later added that it was prescribed to him. The Wall Street Journal previously reported Musk’s history of other drug use, and concerns that it could compromise his company’s ability for needed security clearances. […]
Okay. So, let’s get this straight: Musk is a bad guy for taking prescription drugs?
Also, Musk has made BILLION$. BILL-ION$. He doesn’t need Robinson’s — or anyone’s — credit card number. The Office of Personnel Management — basically the federal government’s HR and payroll departments — got hacked big time in 2015. (Elon was not around. Trump was not around. Obama, however, WAS.)
Clinton and Obama both committed to efforts similar to DOGE. You have to wonder what this DEI hire reporter and her primary source, Mrs. Robinson, think about that?
Many of us remember the bald-headed guy in lipstick, cocktail dresses and high-heels who got put in charge by Joe Biden of a major component of our nuclear energy program. (He she it got arrested for stealing luggage at an airport. But Elon is a *problem.*)
There are so many people with their hands on our personal data at the state and federal government levels right now it’s mind-blowing.
Crap like this McClatchy article is a big reason why a lot of worthy people take a pass on running for office. Who wants to get smeared with a lie-flavored colonoscopy from the remaining low-lives / DEI hires in McClatchy’s dwindling newsrooms?
The real story here is evidence is mounting that: (1) average Americans have been getting drained by the IRS so (2) lots of politically connected folks can make out like bandits at the expense of real, hard-working Americans.
The crooks are scared. So, they’re hauling out every distraction they can think of.
DOGE has been needed for over 60 years. Finally we have people in place with the guts to do it. We have to get our country’s spending and bureaucracy under control if we want to survive to see another sixty years. The numbers don’t lie. *They just keep getting BIGGER.*
That is a great picture of Elon Musk and the chainsaw that Argentina’s President Milei gave him at CPAC. Milei campaigned for Argentine president using a chainsaw as a prop on what he was going to do to the Argentine bureaucracy, revving it up to emphasize the point on the campaign trail. Milei started his term by eliminating a third of all the cabinet departments in his government in one whack and has kept cutting since. Inflation has dropped like a stone and the economy is now booming.
