Cain being punished for fleeing the liberal plantation
Al Sharpton can incite race riots that cause stores to be burned. He can slander prosecutors and cops with baseless allegations of racism and rape. This is a record you would think would draw some outrage from the alleged mainstream media (MSM) and the DC establishment. But no, Sharpton gets his own show on MSNBC, gets treated seriously as a presidential candidate in 2008, and is cooed over by MSM types as a “spokesman” for black America.
Then, you look at how men like Clarence Thomas and Herman Cain –two who worked hard and pulled themselves up by their bootstraps to the highest levels of business and government — get treated. Why the difference? Sharpton does what he is told by his liberal masters — a regular Stepin Fetchit dancing and performing to the Democrat tune. Democrats and their comrades on the left NEED black America to be angry and dependent on the government handouts they so eagerly dole out. Successful men of achievement like Cain and Thomas throw a monkey wrench into the leftist agenda. Black Americans look at men like this and see that ANYTHING is possible when you work hard. Every black American who realizes they don’t need the offerings of the social services office as much as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton — the true “Uncle Toms” — tell them and sets out on his her own to be self-sufficient causes the leftists’ captive audience to shrink.
Leftists want blacks to stay on the plantation — angry, poor, poorly educated, dependent on the government, and ready to yell at whitey or vote Democrat at the snap of a paid-off preacher’s finger. Men like Clarence Thomas and Herman Cain are treated by the left like runaway slaves in the pre-Civil War South. They need to be taught a lesson so severe that other brothers and sisters will never do something like leave the plantation and be nice to Republicans.
The Politico — basically The DC version of The N&O — has dredged up a 15 year old story on Cain alleging sexual harassment. (I am sure this is giving Clarence Thomas a sense of deja vu.) The Politico and their comrades on the left must really be scared that the GOP is on the verge of producing the first COMPETENT black president.
Byron York of The Washington Examiner probes this slimy attack in his latest column:
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain for the first time has offered a detailed recollection of what led an employee of the National Restaurant Association to lodge a sexual harassment charge against him when he was CEO of the organization.
Cain spoke in response to detailed questioning from Fox News’ Greta van Susteren, who led Cain through the facts of the case in an extended interview. That interview was taped to be shown on Fox Monday night.
Cain told van Susteren that he remembered one woman who was a writer in the Association’s communications department. “I can’t even remember her name, but I do remember the formal allegation she made in terms of sexual harassment,” Cain said. “I turned it over to my general counsel and one of the ladies that worked for me, the woman in charge of human resources. They did investigate…and it was found to be baseless.”
Van Susteren asked Cain how often he saw the woman. “I might see her in the office because her office was on the same floor as my office,” Cain said. Van Susteren asked whether the woman traveled with Cain, who spent a lot of time on the road speaking to restaurant associations around the country. “No, never,” Cain said.
Cain said the woman was “younger than I was,” but he could not recall her age. Pressed, he said, “It would have had to have been late 30s, early 40s.”
Van Susteren asked what Cain did that led to the accusation. There were reportedly more than one accusations in the complaint, but Cain said he recalled just one incident. “She was in my office one day, and I made a gesture saying — and I was standing close to her — and I made a gesture saying you are the same height as my wife. And I brought my hand up to my chin saying, ‘My wife comes up to my chin.'” At that point, Cain gestured with his flattened palm near his chin. “And that was put in there [the complaint] as something that made her uncomfortable,” Cain said, “something that was in the sexual harassment charge.”
Oh, the horror.
Biden’s plagiarism made him unfit for the presidency in 1988, but GREAT for VP in 2008. Look at all of the slimy perverted stories and allegations surrounding Bill Clinton and the late Ted Kennedy. (Remember the story, which came out during the William Kennedy Smith rape trial, about Ted walking around his Palm Beach house in front of company tipsy and with no pants on?) Those two perverts are celebrated as true statesmen. The long lists of misconduct allegations against them got swept under the rug.
Yet, Herman Cain gets raked over the coals for something THIS flimsy. I guess this is the penalty the modern day slave masters on the left dole out for an unauthorized departure from the cotton field.
