The Porn Shop Strikes Back!
Just in time for the 2026 general election, former lieutenant governor Mark Robinson is back in the news making us all proud. Here’s Adult Video News (AVN) with the details:
Musician and former porn store employee Louis Love Money filed a lawsuit against the former lieutenant governor of North Carolina on Tuesday. Mark Robinson, a pro-Trump Republican who ran for governor in 2024, sued the former porn shop employee for defamation during that time in an effort to revive a flailing political campaign shrouded in personal scandal. Money accuses the failed gubernatorial candidate of abuse of the court system and subjecting him to unjust persecution. […]

[…] Robinson sued CNN and Money for a whopping $50 million in October 2024 after investigative journalists for the outlet published an article alleging that he made scores of posts on porn forums in the late 2000s, including on a platform known as Nude Africa. He posted under the username “minisoldr” there and on platforms also including YouTube and Pinterest.
According to the CNN report, Robinson posted in support of slavery and called himself a “Black Nazi” who favored Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler over Barack Obama as president of the United States. He also shared posts using slurs that are homophobic, racist and antisemitic. He furthermore admitted to peeping on women in public showers when he was 14, and that he enjoyed watching transgender pornography.
The suit also implicated a music video Money produced with his band, Trailer Park Orchestra, titled “The Lt. Governor Owes Me Money.” In the song, as well as in an additional inquiry by investigative news outlet The Assembly, Money claimed that the former GOP nominee frequented porn shops in the 1990s and early 2000s, and that he never paid Money for bootleg porn video purchases. Maybe we need to follow TPO’s lead and produce a music video.

[…] Robinson denied all of the allegations in the CNN and Assembly pieces, including his visits to porn stores throughout Greensboro. Shortly after Democratic Gov. Josh Stein beat him out by 14 percentage points in the 2024 race, Robinson dropped the lawsuit.
In March 2026, Robinson appeared on the “After the Call” podcast, hosted by conservative Christian pastor Josh Hall of Florida, admitting that he lied to “protect” the Trump machine.
“More than anything, you know, allegations that I watched pornography and was involved with people that watched pornography, and that that was absolutely true,” Robinson told Hall during the 90-minute interview. He characterized his consumption of pornography in the early 2000s as an “obsession” that haunted him well into his political career.
Money’s immediate complaint was brought over the abuse of process and malicious prosecution allegations in a state-level court, note court documents.
Money’s attorney argues in the suit that the “[Robinson] lawsuit was never truly about money or about any supposed deep-state conspiracy, artificial intelligence, or pornographic video allegedly purchased in the 1990s or early 2000s. Instead, the lawsuit appears to have been political theater, using the court system as part of an election strategy.
“As a direct and proximate result of Robinson’s [initial] actions, Plaintiff incurred substantial attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses defending the Wake County lawsuit,” the complaint adds. […]
Speaking of Robinson, we are approaching the one year anniversary of the Balanced Nutrition debt being turned over to collections.
Click here if you need a refresher on the whole Balanced Nutrition saga.
After a review of just three months of the Robinson family business’s operations, it was determined that Balanced Nutrition took in $101,142.05 in taxpayer funds that it was not entitled to.
Remember, that amount was reached by just examining the company’s final three months of operation. Just imagine how big the figure might get if Balanced Nutrition’s entire eight-year lifespan got scrutinized.
Balanced Nutrition was funded by federal money managed by the state Department of Health and Human Services. The program that funded Balanced Nutrition is very similar to the one in Minnesota being investigated in connection with all of the Somali daycares and “learing centers.”
The last we heard, neither Robinson nor his wife had paid one dime toward the Balanced Nutrition penalty. Jeff Jackson‘s state Department of Justice is overseeing the collections process and they are not commenting at all on the matter.
Oh, a lot of folks will have fun tut-tutting over the porn stuff. But, me? I want every cent of that taxpayer money repaid post-haste.

Has the NC Republican Party–and more particularly Robinson’s supporters–learned anything from this political fiasco.? It will be years before we recover from this disaster, if ever.
