Only ONE NCGOPer in Congress stands up for voter ID. (Only ONE.)
For some reason, Republicans in official Washington are running away from voter ID like it’s the plague. The so-called SAVE Act, which federalizes the concept of ID and proof of citizenship for voting, is bottled up by Republican leaders in Washington.
Republican politicians talk a good game about ballot security. But when it comes time to DO SOMETHING about it, *crickets.*
About 35 US House members sent a letter to senator Mitch McConnell the other day asking him to stop blocking debate and a vote on the SAVE Act. The only North Carolinian with the integrity and guts to put their name on this? The Honorable Mark Harris. The only one out of TEN Republicans we have *representing* us.
THIS legislation is WHAT WE VOTED FOR.

The whole Voter Registration Act of 1993 needs to be repealed, too. It was the Clinton law that mandated registration at DMV and welfare offices where all manner of mischief is likely, and opened the door to such absurdities as postcard registration and postcard voting. If we are ever to restore the integrity of our voting system, this law has got to go.
Amen to that. Repeal NVRA.
Eligible voters should register to vote in person at the board of elections while supplying identity and citizenship documentation.
Mark Harris. My Representative and friend, is a good man. The rest should follow his rxample!
Not rxample, example. Sorry for the typo.
This letter seems silly because of the addressee. Mitch McConnell is just one vote. Unless they sent a similar letter to each of the other big-time Senate RINOs shy about changing their rules, addressing it only to Mitch instead of the Majority Leader, John Thune, makes them look clueless. That said, it’d be nice to hear from those who didn’t sign it!
