Moore Co. school board’s Dahl: ‘We need to protect our kids FROM the cops’
*DOCTOR* Amy Dahl is in her first term on the Moore County Board of Education. She was hailed, praised and endorsed by Comrade Nagy and Comrade Woronoff. In fact, Comrade Nagy includes her when he bloviates about alleged “moderates” on the school board.
But we tell you the truth on ol’ *Doctor* Dahl. Who can forget when – as a candidate for school board – Dahl showed up in the public comment time at a school board meeting to screech about the *outrage* of teaching that there are only two genders? (She taught biology, by the way.)
Even funnier was when she wrote a letter to Nagy’s rag admitting that she was in fact – as fellow board member David Hensley claimed – wasting taxpayer money with frequent calls to the board attorney asking stupid questions. (With lawyers, the meter is always running.)
If you thought *Doctor* Dahl couldn’t top all of that, you are mistaken. Here she is at the most recent board of education meeting – sounding the alarm about disbanding the school police force and turning over school security to the sheriff’s office:
[…] “We live in a time where the federal government is trying to command and – I am not sure of the exact status of this now – but they are trying to command local law enforcement to do their work on immigration enforcement. ” […]
First of all, that’s just false. Or deranged. (Take your pick.)
ICE asked local lawmen to please hold inmates – who have been IDed as illegal aliens – until ICE can arrive and take them into custody. You have them in custody already for apparently violating state law. A federal law enforcement agency is asking for professional courtesy. (Too many local police were allowing illegals to bond out and scram before ICE could arrive.)
That threw the left into a massive deranged meltdown.
ICE typically responds to warrants issued by judges because folks didn’t show up for court dates or failed to leave the country when their visa expired.
Illegal alien roundups are looking so violent these days because so many local cops in sanctuary cities have been barred from assisting with crowd control. Radical leftists get encouraged by stuff like that. What was meant to be a simple warrant execution turns into full-scale street combat.
This is about law enforcement. Doctor Amy and her comrades sound just like those politicians in the 60s who balked at working with the feds in enforcing those pesky civil rights laws.
Back to *Doctor* Dahl:
[…] So, if we have a sheriff who believes that he or she has been commanded to round up people based on how they look without checking citizenship papers then they would consider that a legitimate law enforcement duty because that is a directive that has come down from above and I know there are people who consider getting rid of immigrants to be a matter of keeping our community safe.” […]
Again, deranged or dishonest. Possibly both. But it’s Pilot-endorsed and -applauded.
Wait, there’s MORE:
[…] “I personally do not want that happening in our schools. We need to uphold the spirit of Plyler v. Doe and we need to educate students and keep them safe within our walls without regard – you know – without regard to, without showing an interest in their nationality of origin. I think all of our students are going to feel safer if every student is safe. And if there are some students not safe in our schools many students will not feel safe in our schools.
And so I am not happy with this because I think if our sheriff interprets this directive from the federal government as something he or she has to follow it will make it a legitimate law enforcement duty. But it is not consistent with what needs to be happening in our schools.”[…]
