Mark Walker takes aim at Robinson, Berger on casino deal
The former congressman and current gubernatorial candidate is certainly getting feisty. He aggressively targeted lieutenant governor Mark Robinson’s ethics (or lack thereof) and is now putting heat on the state’s top two Republicans to rethink the deal to drop FOUR new casinos in our state:
It was amazing to see nearly 500 individuals show up in Rockingham County last night to oppose the re-zoning of land for the eventual purpose of building a casino. But this is about more than rezoning and casino legislation… This is about the lack of transparency and preventing… pic.twitter.com/1AjFLFitJt

In case you weren’t aware, Rockingham is Phil Berger’s home county.
*Good luck on getting Robinson to speak up. He won’t say ‘boo’ about his clearly shady ‘family business.’ And there are soooooo many out-of-state high-dollar fundraisers to hit.*
Looks like Walker has found an opening here. Will “values voters” start to move away from Robinson who has been noticeably silent on the spread of gambling in the state by the GOP legislature?
An opening, yes, I was thinking exactly that. I’ve never been a Walker fan due to his performance in DC but if he pursues the nomination by waging a fight against corruption as part of his campaign, much can be forgiven. If Folwell doesn’t get strategic like this, he’s done, and that’s a tragedy because I still think he’s the best man for the job.

500 people turning out in Berger’s home county to oppose casinos? They need to find one of them to file in the primary against him to flip the Berger, and the rest to get behind that primary opponent. Bully Berger needs to go. He is a spear carrier for the left on issue after issue. Bully Berger functions in the NC Senate the very same wary that “China Mitch” McConnell functions in the US Senate, and that is as a Democrat enabler and a special interest brown noser. We need real Republicans in those leadership posiitions not these power-drunk phonies.
