For Stein & Cooper, cooperation is a ONE WAY STREET.

Remember how often former governor and AG Roy Cooper, former AG and current governor Josh Stein and their political allies soiled their diapers over demands that they cooperate with federal officials trying to secure our borders and enforce immigration law?

The cooperation at issue was often things as simple as holding onto suspects in your custody until ICE agents could arrive to talk to them.

The kind of rhetoric we’re hearing from the Stein & Cooper crowd is quite reminiscent of the stuff that led to — oh — The Civil War and a lot of that unpleasantness post-passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.  *We don’t need to give you feds the time of day.  This is a local matter.*

Here’s an example of the whiny crap Gomer Cooper hit us with during his stay in Raleigh:

Gov. Roy Cooper vetoed a bill Monday that would demand North Carolina sheriffs learn the immigration status of their jails’ inmates and detain people who federal agents intend to take into custody.

In his veto message, Cooper wrote the following:

“This law is only about scoring political points and using fear to divide North Carolinians. As the state’s former top law enforcement officer, I know that current law already allows the state to incarcerate and prosecute dangerous criminals regardless of immigration status. This bill is unconstitutional and weakens law enforcement in North Carolina by mandating that sheriffs do the job of federal agents, using local resources that could hurt their ability to protect their counties.”[….]

*Doing the job of federal agents ????  You know the feds are interested in Pablo Sanchez.  You know they know you have Pablo.  They ask you to hold Pablo until they get there.  How HARD is that?*

Here’s that effete goblin – our governor-by-defaultjoining his buddy Gomer in the b!tch-and-moanfest:

Democratic Gov. Josh Stein issued the first vetoes of his term on Friday, including blocking two Republican bills that sought to bolster law enforcement cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a statement, Stein said he vetoed one of the bills, which would have required state law enforcement agencies to enter cooperation agreements with ICE, because “at a time when our law enforcement is already stretched thin, this bill takes state law enforcement officers away from their existing state duties and forces them to act as federal immigration agents.” […]

*Acting as federal agents?  Kind of like when we expect local and state lawmen to enforce the mandates in federal civil rights law? *

On top of all that, the little goblin fired off a haughty  letter demanding all kinds of answers from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Remember, this is the same guy who just finished telling ICE we don’t have to tell you NUTHIN’ or help you do NUTHIN’.

Before we let you go, we need to remind you that the head of the Border Patrol — a native North Carolinian, by the way — has already told off Stein for inciting violence against lawmen.

Also, border czar Tom Homan has called out lefties like Stein and Cooper for aiding and abetting the growth of human trafficking, drug trafficking and other crimes in this country with their obstruction of immigration law enforcement.
