Yes, that’s James Dawkins, Brunswick County Democrat, blaming state Rep. Frank Iler (R-Brunswick) for being “personally responsible” for deaths he says occurred because Medicaid has not been expanded.
Really? If you actually talk to people in the health care field, you’ll find that North Carolina has some of the most generous Medicaid benefits in the southeastern US. And WHEN have you heard of a person not being able to get medically necessary treatment from SOMEWHERE? (Granted, that happens in the British Health System and other foreign examples of what the American left desires for our country.)
Dawkins’s rant is based on an article in Esquire, of all things, which claims “15,000 people died so Republican governors could stick it to Obama.”
Is this really Democrat campaign strategy for 2020 — Republicans murdered 15,000 because they refused to expand Medicaid?

well if he wanted to blame a republican he got the wrong one at least blaming Nixon for Americans healthcare problems would be a much more logical argument

Frank Iler is responsible for his own health care, James Dawkins is responsible for his own health care, and you and I are responsible for our own health care. When a person will not or cannot make health care provisions for himself or herself, that is sad, but it is not a responsibility of government. Hopefully, when someone is unable to provide for him/herself, a family member, friends, church, or other philanthropic organization will step in, but it is inappropriate for government to take money from all taxpayers in order to give that money to a few citizens; that’s stealing.
Well, Frank Iler (R Brunswick County) has a number of RINO issues, but if he’s against Medicare expansion I support him on that. That would be one of the only things I agree with him on lately. Truth is, he needs to be replaced by a real conservative who isn’t beholden to Speaker Moore and other Raleigh special interests.
