Aaaand NOW: The FEC report (NCGOP edition)
The other day, our pal Dallas was advising that we all take a look at the state party’s filings with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). So, some of us did.
Grandpa and his plane. The use of party funds to pay for Robin Hayes’s travels on his private airplane became an issue during the last chairman’s race. Well. it appears to not only be continuing but accelerating.
That’s pretty much MONTHLY fill-ups there. On top of those payments, Hayes has also been taking reimbursements for “mileage” and other expenses:
It doesn’t appear that Hayes is doing much driving for the party — given all of those plane fuel gas-ups. Is he getting paid mileage for travel on the plane AND getting his jet fuel paid for?
It’s also a lot of reimbursement and payment for a guy who has been pretty much invisible since June — when he got caught basically telling donors to break the law.
Also according to the FEC filing, Catherine Whiteford is on the NCGOP payroll. Between May and November she was also a candidate for NC House. (She lost.)
During campaign season, she was drawing a salary AND expenses from the state GOP.
So, was the NCGOP subsidizing the very existence of a candidate in a long-shot race to the detriment of other candidates — like, oh, the four judicial candidates — who needed all kinds of extra help to win much more crucial races? Were any of those expenses that were reimbursed actually related to campaigning?
If Hayes were a rockstar personality making a huge difference, I may defend “fuel only” charges. When I was learning to fly, I learned planes are expensive to maintain. Based on the results, perhaps questions are in order.
The GOp is a joke! Several media outlets are reporting the first wave of the migrant caravan is already being processed at the border?
Trump has not commented on the migrants since the election. I wonder why?
Meanwhile the GOP is holding leadership races while blatant voter fraud is happening in Florida? Unfortunately, the joke is on the poor suckers who voted for all talk and no action! I have just about had enough of Trump, kowtowing to illegals and liberals through his disastrous budget deals and broken promises!
President Trump has got more brains and backbone than the RINOs and I expect he will stand firm against this invasion. He has observed the disastrous political result of caving in to arrogant migrants that has befallen Angela Merkel and her party in Germany and compared that to the huge political plus of standing firm against the migrant swarms that can be seen where leaders of the parties of the right take strong stands against illegal immigration as in Hungary, Italy, Austria, and Poland.
Trump would turn himself into Merkel if he wussies out and he knows it. Trump will not make that mistake.
