#ncga: Aaaaaaand let’s go to the tape …
Mealy-mouthedness by politicians is, unfortunately, the rule instead of the exception. But it is sooooooooo delicious when you manage to catch said conduct on videotape.
Take for instance, this video of state Rep. Bob Steinburg (R-Edenton) compiled by activists with the group NC Voters for Voter ID.
If you watch the linked video, you will see Steinburg speaking to a Pasquotank County gathering on 
March 31. He is asked, by a voter,if he supports the idea of providing driver licenses to illegal aliens. Steinburg tap-dances around with his answer a little, but seems to insinuate that he would not vote for something like that.
The second part of the tape shows a 2015 House committee hearing where Steinburg apparently voted FOR legislation approving of driver licenses for illegals.
We caught some Steinburg double-talk previously. He commented on this site last 
year that he has never taken “a dime” more than his $13,951 salary. We found that to be, um, FALSE.
The fact that he’s close friends with the creepy convicted child sex offender who runs Al-Pam, Harvey West, is enough for me to want nothing to do with Bob Steinberg. In recent days, stories have circulated inside and outside of Dare GOP circles that Danko had become involved in a personal dispute with a local business. He reportedly suggested that he could make things difficult for the owners and an employee if he were elected to the Dare County board. I hope you don’t make things difficult for the DH. Go Away!
Ed, we’ve been noticing you’ve been fixated on this harvey guy. I’m starting to think maybe you have a sick infatuation with him. It’s a little weird you sit and comment on blogs all the time about him. And post stupid videos no one cares about, regarding the Only actual Republican running in the race you are in. We also were at a large event the other day in Dare. And everyone was talking about how they are pretty po sure you are a liberal plant that has come here to cause division and help the democrat party gain traction. We Will Not Let you. You are a sick guy. Mentally something is not right with you. You come to our island from NYC with a career in CNN media, and you told many you did polling to figure out where would be the easier place for you to get elected and rise in your career with politics. You told people you were aiming to run for President or Senate one day.. but yet, what you failed to understand is, Eastern North Carolina people are not stupid and we saw straight through your lies and acts. Hey, please leave our man Big Bob Steinburg alone. He is one of the champions of the polar bears, don’t you know? He works hard to secure President Obama’s green energy legacy in North Carolina. So what if he also works hard to secure President Obama’s legacy in supporting the undocumented immigrants?

Threatening opponents is the one thing that Danko and Steinburg particularly share.
Drivers licenses for illegal aliens are important to Steinburg’s wind and solar puppet masters. Most of those “jobs” they claim to be providing are being given to illegal aliens to build the facilities – especially solar – and they want their illegal workers to be able to drive.
Steinburg looks at every issue through the prism of his wind and solar special interest buddies, not at what is good for North Carolina.
