Sore Republican primary loser rages on in defense of Democrat nominee
Quasi-cryptic quotes like this — plus sightings of her top aides in the middle of Democrat DPI nominee Mo Green‘s campaign entourage — are revealing Catherine Truitt‘s quisling side.
Aaaah. Throwing out that whole *experience* thing the lefties like to bat around. It’s incredibly insulting to hear these public edu-crats sniffing and whining about how people who have not sat through marathon brain-washing sessions within university *Schools of Education* are not smart enough to make decisions about our kids’ education.
*One has to wonder HOW this state and nation survived before the establishment of the NC Department of Public Instruction and US Department of Education. *
This whole *experience* spin attempts to insulate the bureaucrats from the prying eyes of taxpayers and interested parents. Democrat Mo Green admits that he had to rely on connected cronies to change the rules so he — a lawyer by trade — could be appointed as a school system superintendent.
In the GOP primary for DPI superintendent earlier this year, voters soundly rejected the *experienced* Catherine Truitt and elected the “inexperienced” Michele Morrow. The *experience* argument didn’t faze the primary voters earlier this year. Perhaps Morrow’s arguments in favor of making schools safer and moving the curriculum away from queer politics and toward the 3Rs resonated.
Truitt had an opportunity to de-politicize the curriculum. When confronted by a controversy over a Governor’s School teacher fired for refusing to teach queer theory, Truitt decided to publicly call the teacher a *racist.* (Bad move.)
One good thing about the COVID shut-down? Parents gained more awareness about the crap being shoveled down their kids’ throats in public schools. The lefties have had their fun since the 1970s, but parents and other taxpayers now want public schools redirected toward safety and other serious business.
Truitt has the right to not support Morrow. It’s problematic for her — after receiving all kinds of $$$ and votes and other resources from state Republicans — to publicly embrace state Democrats and sabotage a Republican nominee.
Well, Day 1 of her Administration, she did hire the most liberal dem in the state. Thus, who is surprised???????
It’s what r’s in NC do. SUPPORT dems much more than ANY conservative candidate. We’ve had yrs of this, starting when Jones’ seat came up in eastern NC and then Dr Brannon being TRASHED for squishy Tillis.
Just another sorry RINO girl brought into the party and given a plum position only to sabotage the GOP when she didn’t get her way. Just like the Bush and Cheney girls. These three could pass for a new female version of the Three Stooges.
She was brought in by McCrory, who refused to bring in party activists for most of the key positions in his administration. It figures that she is a quisling. She is a crybaby loser.
