Just in time for state budget approval: UNC, ECU, Duke scrub references to pediatric tranny stuff from their websites

So far, the med schools at Duke, UNC and ECU have passionately denied allegations from Education First Alliance about their involvement and encouragement of pediatric transgender procedures.  The story won’t go away — despite all the spinning from the high-priced, state-paid PR people at each campus.

It’s getting close to the deadline for approving a state budget for the new fiscal year.  Some legislators — you know, the folks who approve all that money — are starting to get a little concerned about all of these revelations involving minor children.

So, Education First Alliance and their leader, Sloan Rachmuth, have produced a short video detailing the website “scrubbing” going on at Duke, UNC, and ECU. ( Scrubbing a website involves making any and all references to a particular subject on a website disappear post-haste.  Scrubbing usually is done when you’ve been caught red-handed, and not when you’ve been wrongly and unjustly accused.  It’s hiding inconvenient information.)

Meanwhile, let’s look at some of the $$$$ goodies earmarked for East Carolina Health and  UNC Health currently sitting in the Senate version of the state budget.

I can understand the thinking behind all of this website scrubbing.  These schools have millions of dollars waiting for them in this soon-to-be-approved budget.  Linguini-spined legislators are sure to get queasy over approving appropriations for institutions that regularly mention “pediatrics,” “transgender,” and /or “gender-affirming” in the same sentence.   (The “Regional Children’s Behavioral Health facility” appropriation request amidst all of this talk about transgender procedures for minors will surely not steel many spines on Jones Street. )

How on Earth would the “honorables” sell these appropriations to these schools to their voters without even attempting to get to the bottom of this whole pediatric “gender-affirming” matter?
