It’s Alive !!! (The Return of the NC House Freedom Caucus)
Former congressman Mark Meadows was influential in the establishment and operation of the US House Freedom Caucus. The Freedom Caucus is a group of Republicans willing to stand firm against party leadership on anything that looks like big government and / or a violation of the party platform. The Caucus also recruits and funds like-minded candidates to run for Congress.
Congressman (and former state Rep.) Greg Murphy told us during his first campaign that he was going to join and passionately support the US House Freedom Caucus. The next time you see him, ask him how all that is going.
Over in the North Carolina House, a version of the Freedom Caucus has been laying dormant for some time. But it appears to be back, under the leadership of Rep. Keith Kidwell (R), and includes 17 other legislators. Here’s the full list of members:

The presence of Jason Saine on this list sets off all kinds of alarms. Saine is a stooge for Speaker Timmy and his pals. Surely, the purpose of his membership is to keep tabs on the group for Timmy and the gang.
As tight as the partisan margin is in the House, eighteen votes standing together and holding firm could make this group quite influential. They can stop leadership from pushing through big government crap. Without these guys, you’re not getting ANYTHING past the Democrat opposition. Hopefully, this lasts and stays strong.
I’ve been pushing for the impeachment of Governor Cooper. The freedom caucus point blank told me it’s a big no unless Speaker Moore approves.
I was thinking maybe at least one or two other names on that list might be troubling also ??
Naturally. Hanig? Give me a break. Same with Yarborough, the guy who’s been attacking the livelihoods of thousands of Republican commercial fisher folks.
Their primary focus should be convincing voters to ever vote again, given the lack of vigorous investigations into the 2020 election fraud. Until this happens in all 50 states, a lot of us will not be voting again. What would be the point? The group could prove their sincerity by refusing to wear masks and calling on all conservatives to defy Cooper’s tyrannical mask and related edicts. Simple follow Florida’s lead.
Not sure Yarborough knows what freedom is all about the way he bows to a monopoly like the CCA. They have thru the years bought control of the N C Division of Marine Fisherys. I realize this comment strays from the topic of freedom but it needs to be known.
That list is a list; I find several on there, worthless. I actually sent a direct email to several of them last wk. As of today, ZERO responded. Lt Robinson actually responded 2x to a similar email. So, I thus see who’s responsive and interested in people’s thoughts and concerns and who is simply a politician. Same direct message sent to other house and senate members with ZERO response. Again, Lt Gov Robinson is the only person that responded.
