Today was the day Chik-fil-A was supposed to ‘pay the piper’ for angering the gay gods.  Today was to be part of a great boycott featuring such pleasant sights as same-sex kiss-ins.  The piper didn’t get paid, but the folks at Chik-fil-A sure did. 

Reports are in from all over the state and the country about Chik-fil-A locations being overrun by paying customers.  I drove past the location here in Moore County a few times today.  From lunch time to well past the dinner hour,  the place was mobbed.  The restaurant fronts US 15-501 ( a major six lane plus center turn lane thoroughfare).  Traffic trying to get into the Chik-Fil-A parking lot filled the turn lane for miles and turned one of the road’s six other lanes into a parking lot.   The Southern Pines Police Department had to  direct traffic in and out of the place.  It was unreal.

Many people parked miles down the road and walked to the restaurant.  A crowd at least  five deep ringed the restaurant for most of the day.  After watching the day’s events, I am betting that the corporate suits for McDonald’s, Burger King, and Arby’s are trying to figure out a way to get the gays to boycott them  !!!
