Grassroots NC gives WRAL a taste of its own medicine
Grassroots NC, a gunowners rights group here in the state, is a wee bit upset about WRAL-TV’s decision to publish on its web site a searchable database of homeowners with concealed-carry permits.
The group sees it as a violation of the homeowners’ privacy, and an invitation to thieves to come into homes and steal guns.
Grassroots NC has decided that turnabout is fair play, and has published a lot of publicly-available information (thanks to the Internet) on WRAL reporter Mark Binker — the man behind the database.
This is quite an interesting precedent being set here. It might be something for ordinary citizens to consider — the next time some arrogant MSM reporter decides to publish classified information or drag someone’s personal “dirt” out into the headlines.
Interesting that he’s not registered as a Democrat. However, the fact that Blue NC welcomed him to WRAL with open arms should tell you what you need to know about him.
