NC-09: So far, it’s ALL Stony.

It’s one thing to talk about running for Congress.  It’s another to step up, pay the filing fee, and sign on the dotted line.  The first day of filing in the Ninth District do-over got started today.  Union County board of commissioners chairman Stony Rushing — by late Monday — was the only one to sign on the dotted line.

I hadn’t heard of Rushing until Mark Harris quit the race and endorsed him.  It’s funny to watch the connniption fits the liberals have been going through over Rushing.  They don’t like him because he dressed up like Hazzard County’s Boss Hogg for Halloween (and for some campaign ads).

They don’t like him because he sells guns.   Libs don’t like him because he has stood up for Confederate monuments and displaying the Confederate flag.   They also don’t like him because, earlier in his career on the county board, he asked the then-chairman for a short recess so he could take a mouthy colleague outside and “whup his ass.”

*Too much “toxic masculinity,” apparently.*

We hear there are others coming.  If so, they have four more days to step up.
