Whatley v. Kane: One stage, one moderator, two mikes. One job.
This happened a few weeks back in Guilford County. We’ve included video for your entertainment and viewing pleasure. (Hopefully, it will help with the decision-making process at the upcoming state GOP convention. )
Video 1: John Kane intro speech
Video 2: Kane AND Whatley: Accountability to Party Platform
Video 3: Kane on closed primaries
Video 4: Kane + Whatley: Experience for Job, plans for 2024
If you like the fact that UNGA has the authority for congressional redistricting, NC Supreme Court is now an “R” majority and 10 Judges for Court of Appeals are “R”, then THANK Michael Whatley for his leadership to accomplish this!!
NCGOP needs “seasoned” leadership, i.e. Michael Whatley & Susan Mills, for the 2024 elections not a rookie.
Like the “seasoned leadership” of Tim Moore, Phil Berger, Thom Tillis, and Mitch McConnell, all RINOs like Whatley? I want CONSERVATIVE leadership, not special interest seasoned leadership like that motley crew. The Supreme Court was won in spite of Whatley, who bungled the way the Judicial Campaign Fund spent its money thanks to his hiring RINO scumbag Paul Shumaker to advise that fund. He also led NC’s support for that incompetent RINO Ronna Romney McDaniel for RNC chairwoman. Ronna has already screwed up big time since her reelection in not engaging in the key Wisconsin Supreme Court race, which will hurt us in 2024.
Whatley is very good at tooting his own horn claiming responsibility for things that he had little to do with. But here is the key – if you like Thom Tillis, then you surely love his boy Whatley. If you want Tillis replaced, the first step to do so is replacing Whatley.
Whatley played little to no role in the judicial victories. He is quick to take ALL the credit, but let’s review the facts.
1. Judicial races became partisan before Whatley became chair.
2. The Judicial Victory Fund was established by Paul Shumaker and Chief Justice Paul Newby. Not Michael Whatley nor the NCGOP.
3. The judicial slate card was created by a staffer of Judge April Wood.
As far as “seasoned” leadership, Whatley struck a deal with the RNC after he was creamed in the Co-Chair race and is now the RNC General Counsel and has NEVER practiced law and does not have an active law license.
How much more time does he spend in DC now? Does he actually live there? How much time and effort does NC get from a chair that is serving multiple masters?
As a former member of the Central Committee I saw 1st hand the “over promise and under deliver” mantra of the Whatley tenure.
It is time for real change! 2024 is too important in NC for swamp leadership!
I am on Team Kane!!
Nicely documented, but let’s just get to the bottom line…..any success that Republicans in North Carolina have had, have come from local GOP groups, Whatley’s role is to swoop in, take credit for the accomplishments of others, thereby impressing credulous fools like the RNC.
Seasoned leadership like Susan that has done what exactly? She is on record refusing to assist or contact a sitting county chair, recommended attacking a conservative platform and has yet to come out against the racist and xenophobic messages she got caught in. If that’s what you support that says a whole lot about you.
Michael Whatley loves Thom Tillis and the electronic voting machines, John Kane wants them tossed in the ocean and go back to hand counted paper ballots. That’s all I need to know. John Kane is not a uniparty establishment RINO. He wants what’s best for NC unlike Whatley, who wants what’s best for himself.
Electronic voting at conventions is highly suspect, but Whatley wants to use that again, even after many suspect that a vice chairman’s race and a national committewoman’s race were corrupted that way. Whatley wants to run our convention elections like Arizona runs its general elections. It is time for transparency and accountability in the NCGOP with paper ballots in each county delegation and a roll call of the counties. I, like many, simply do not trust those electronic machines that Woodhouse was so fond of and have stuck with us.
When the VC wore a Ukraine pin while on stage for the camera at last years Convention and then it was removed afterwards, it was a sign of controlled opposition… Exactly right on coat tail riding… The RINO’s are in full force in NC… When you realize the real lies, it’s Communism rolled in to mind control for a materialistic life wrapped up in a projection of tolerance, forced acceptance, all the while the masses lay in apathy by fear… Truth is Marching On….
I am not terribly impressed with either candidate for vice chairman. Both are establishment hacks. We need another choice. I hope one will emerge prior to or at the convention.
Susan Mills chose to make her announcement at the same press conference with Thom Tillis and Michael Whatley and that speaks volumes. But Abdul’s high handed dictatorship as chairman of the Cabarrus County party was downright embarassing, and fortunately he was replaced in that role.
Let’s draft a grassroots conservative for vice chairman.
Michael Whatley loves the electronic voting machines, Thom Tillis as well as Ronna McDaniels. John Kane does Not. he wants hand counted paper ballots. Vote John Kane for NCGOP Chair. Let’s get the Establishment Uni-party out of NC!
Democrats are royally kicking our butts with technology, and we’re still talking about paper ballots. It’s amazing we win anything. These election integrity charades have accomplished nothing but turning Republicans against each other, particularly the Luddites. No wonder young people don’t feel like they belong in our party. I detest Whatley, but Kane’s advocacy for paper ballots is destructive.
Highly impressed by John Kane! We need the new blood and energy.
