Turnout UP all over the Tar Heel State
Earlier this week, state elections officials were predicting 69 percent voter turnout. Roughly two million of the state’s 6.6 million registered voters took part in early voting. They expect two million or so more to cast ballots today.
Turnout is quite high in our yellow-dog GOP county — and voting precinct. I stopped by to vote about 2 PM. The total I saw on the voting machine was about where it usually is AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. (At that time, we had about five more hours to go. There were still plenty of people coming in.)
