Soooooo Much Winning ….

I don’t believe perusing X and other social media platforms has ever made me smile as much as it has the past several days.

Thousands of illegals are being deported.  That rathole known as USAID is being defunded and fumigated. It’s looking like we’re going to get a much better deal on The Panama Canal than we’ve had in ages.  Elon Musk and The Department of Government Efficiency are shaking things up nicely in DC — announcing sort of a ‘last call’ for the seemingly never-ending, big-spending Happy Hour.

The wrongly-imprisoned J6ers have been released and pardoned.

Our southern border is now being protected by our troops.  The threat of US tariffs has forced Mexico to start helping us with the cartels, illegal border crossings, and the illegal fentanyl trade.  Canada is still complaining about the tariff threat, but they’ll cave like Mexico did.  (I saw an item about Canadian shopkeepers pulling American goods from their shelves.  The problem?  That stuff has already been imported from the US and paid for. Americans aren’t being hurt.)

To all of the folks who went absolutely hysterical over the very mention of tariffs, you need to take a refresher on business negotiation tactics.  Leverage is what you have when you are in a position of strength, have something others want, and need to persuade them to go the route you want.  Our new president is a master at negotiating big deals.  (I think he even wrote a celebrated book about it.)

With this flurry of activity, and all of this winning, you have to ask: Why didn’t this happen even sooner?  We’ve had GOP presidents not named Trump.  We’ve had GOP control of Congress before.  Why is it all coming together now?

We’ve got a powerful personality in The Oval Office.  He has a movement behind him that would march over a cliff or into the ocean if he asked them to.  No one else residing at 1600 Penn has ever had anything close.

The swamp creatures we send year-in-and-year-out to DC are now acting like they’ve been with Donald Trump the whole time.  It seems like they’re all filing deportation and agency closure bills.

The track we’re on appears to be the right path toward pulling our national chestnuts from the fire. To keep the train rolling the right direction, we need to keep breathing down the necks of our elected swamp creatures.  If they even sense that the folks back home have gone placid and stopped paying attention, it will all go back to business as usual.

According to THIS, we can’t afford any more of that.
