Mr. President, you are always welcome in NC. We love you and what you have done and continue to do for our nation. He-who-is-up-for-reelection-in-NC will be all over you, but please temper your public support for him. He wasn’t smart enough to work with you when we had the House and Senate, and that is unforgivable. What a lost opportunity! And that’s why many in NC are looking elsewhere for our next Senator.
Will be a great event for eastern NC.
I hope the Republicans in the General Assembly are making notes about the treatment
the staff and alumni are displaying about the President’s visit. How about cutting their budget 10% every
time they they insult our President????
Over the years I’ve been cutting my individual contributions to this institution because of various issues. I can’t cut on this one because I’m already down to zero.
Many of us were hopeful about the era of the so called Republican revolution in North Carolina. Too bad. That didn’t amount to anything.
No surprise with the rally timing given Herr Mueller’s “impeachment promotional” the same day. I can’t make the rally, this go round, but I’m interested to hear about the support our POTUS lends Troubling Thom and the CD-3 primary winner. It would be great if Tillis gets little to no mention, but I fear that’s just wishful thinking.
Memo to Clayton Loftin: I think the good folks in Eastern North Carolina will give Trump a grand welcome to our state. As for ECU itself, neither the Republican legislature nor the Republican-appointed trustees at ECU have any idea what is happening on that campus. It is moving rapidly to the left because the Republicans simply don’t care.
It’s not that they don’t care, it’s that they don’t realize the severity of the problem, and they don’t know what to do about it.
Memo to Ellis. You are right. Been watching it for a long time.
The inmates are running the asylum.
Note to Ellis…..Been watching this crap for years. I think we Republicans are more
interested in getting invited to the games and getting reelected than in actually doing anything.
Sooner or later we have to elect the best available but that will not happen until the
time required is reduced. Money and pay have nothing to do with it. EMPLOYED people can’t serve.
That might be part of the plan. Oh. I forgot. Lawyers can keep accepting retainers!
Living in Greenville, I can assure you the Republicans have no idea what’s going on at ECU. The Republican trustees are letting the liberals run the entire campus. The faculty is very leftwing and getting worse.
The Third District welcomes President Trump to Greenville as we did in 2016 and will again during the NCGOP Convention next year. His message and presence will add stature and hope to an Eastern North Carolina still recovering from Hurricane Florence compounded by the current draught effecting our farmers and potential legislation devastating our commercial fishing industry. We are a strong region in this great state and appreciate his visit.
