Four legs good, two legs bad: NC edu-crat buffoons embarrass us ’round the world

Here’s ANOTHER piece of evidence proving the four-legs-good-two-legs-bad crowd (too bad most of our school age kids can’t tell you the origin of that reference) has WON in the public education arena:

A North Carolina high school has confiscated all its senior yearbooks and is reprinting them because it believes a white female student’s ‘build that wall’ quote was inappropriate.

Richmond Early College High School is a predominantly white public school in Hamlet, North Carolina, with 214 students.

Its staff recalled its senior yearbooks this week after a screenshot of one female student’s photograph and quote appeared on social media, sparking accusations from critics that the state is ‘racist’.

The blonde student, who beamed in her posed-for photograph wearing a string of pearls, gave the Trump campaign slogan as her quote for the book and attributed it to the president.

Teachers now say that the remark amounted to ‘inappropriate conduct’ which it would not ‘tolerate’. […]

Wow.  They OUGHT to be proud that they actually have ONE graduating senior who can quote a U.S. president.   Sure, several of them could give you the lyrics to the latest Beyonce track verbatim.  But a presidential quote?

MORE:

[…] It recollected the 22 yearbooks which had already been distributed among students and is reprinting them.

The decision had divided opinion among residents on social media. Some agreed with the decision while others said it infringed on the girl’s first amendment rights.

The student did not face any disciplinary action and it is not known what her new quote will be.

In a statement, Richmond County Schools said there were also ‘errors’ in the yearbooks which had been put together by students.

‘Earlier this week, it was discovered by school administration that Richmond Early College yearbooks had errors and inappropriate comments. […]

“Errors.”  Suuuuuuure.  You should flip through my high school yearbook and count the people discreetly (and some not so discreetly) giving the finger to the camera.  There was no recall of our yearbook.

MORE:

[…] ‘The principal immediately collected the distributed yearbooks.

‘We regret that this incident has occurred and are currently working with the yearbook’s publisher to make corrections.

‘As a district, we do not and will not tolerate inappropriate conduct toward any of our students.

‘In each situation, our goal is to provide for the well-being of all of our students and prevent recurrences of inappropriate conduct,’ it said.

Some welcomed it, claiming the quote, which refers to President Trump’s plan to construct a wall along the Mexican border, is offensive to the school’s Hispanic students.

O-M-G.  The quote refers to a measure to enforce the existing law.   Why would it offend you if you came into this country lawfully and legally?  (And if you didn’t, who cares if you’re offended?)

As I said:  Four Legs Good.  Two Legs BAD.

The inappropriate behavior was by the school politburo in suppressing 1st Amendment free speech on their campus. These despicable apparatchiks ought to be on the next plane to North Korea where they belong.

If the school board does not role some administrative heads over this, then voters ought to roll some school board heads in the next election.

Hopefully when they pass these around for signing, a good percentage will take that opportunity to sign with “build the wall” as an integral part of their signature. This is assuming they let the kids do that any more.

I also wonder what high priced administrator was paid to make this moronic decision…and why at his/her pay grade they did not find some way to proof read the book in the first place if this was so important.

I thought THE Trump Trump campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again”, not build the wall.
Anyway, I too feel it is going too far if that is the only issue with the yearbook but the article admits that there are others without specifying what those are and how bad they are. If they are bad then they did the right thing, if not-I think they went too far.
If this young lady wants to display her appreciation for an ignorant approach to immigration/illegal immigration that is her cross to bear. If we are going to enforce laws on the books then Americans who hire illegal immigrants would be punished for drawing people across the border for a better life.

Those who are ignorant on immigration matters are those who think border walls do not work. Ask Israel, Morrocco, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, etc.

The International Court of Justice advised in 2004 that Israel’s building a barrier in the occupied territory as illegal. Palestinians refer to it as a “racist separation”. Also, the Israeli military does patrols and raids in Palestinian towns and refugee camps arresting people on the wrong side of the wall all the while Palestinian forces also patrol their side of the border. This is a far cry from our U.S./Mexico border. The check points work but 50,000 or so Palestinians without permits still get across through the barrier to work.
The International Organisation of Migration said that Macedonia’s wall provides a market for smugglers. Over 500,000 got past the wall last year.
Bulgaria has such a weak economy sends immigrants to Greece as a preferred route (there’s a statement on how bad their economy must be).
Hungary had over 400,000 “irregular” crossings in 2015 and was on track to do the same in 2016.

Well there is where you skid off the rails. We are not subject to that court. We can defend our borders however we see fit. Also, if some international court ruled….it is more than likely a foolish thing to follow as we see how well immigration is working around the world what with the mass murder and mayhem in the US and other countries that are allowing unfettered illegal immigration.

Nice. Innocent men, women, and children in Aleppo should just stay there and be slaughtered.

Where do you get your ”facts”? Fake news, obviously. Some of your time periods involve periods before the walls / fences were completed. The barriers in Hungary and Macedonia have effectively shut down the Balkan route of the Muslim migrants to Europe. Both countries have troops at the border to help stop the migrants. Macedonia has armored personnel carriers on its border with machine guns at the ready, as well as elite army special forces to track down any which might get through. Hungary also has private bounty hunters, generally armed, on horseback, and with dogs, to help stop the migrants. The result is large camps of Muslim migrants who are stuck in Greece or Serbia because they cannot get any farther.

Macedonia’s wall was so effective that George Soros has spent big bucks to try to buy a new government there which will take down the wall. So far, it has not worked.

Bulgaria built a wall on its entire border with Turkey, with manned obervation posts that has stopped the Muslim migrants frpm coming in that way

The anti-terrorist wall you mention on Israel’s border with the Palestinian territories has been highly effective in stopping terrorists. International Court justices seem to be as pro-terrorist as the Democrat judges in the US. However, I was referring to a newer wall aimed at illegal alien migrants, which Israel built on its Sinai border and has been highly successful in stopping illegal aliens coming in.

Read the British press instead of Think Progress if you want correct information on the Muslim migrant situation in Europe..
