Occupy crowd has a friend in a high place at NC DEM HQ

When you're down and troubled and you need a helping handjtaylor
and nothing, whoa, nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call and I'll be there, yeah, yeah,
you've got a friend.[...] --- James Taylor, pop star and US ambassador to France

aMkFc.St.138Remember all of the lovely, unwashed drum-circle types who were loitering all over the place, just a few years ago, claiming to ”occupy” this place and “occupy” that place? Occupy Wall Street — and all of its regional offshoots — was supposed to be the left’s answer to the Tea Party.

This year, there has been a shakeup at that train wreck known as the North Carolina Democrat Party. Former legislator Patsy Keever has taken over to try and bring the party back from the wilderness. She’s shaken up the party HQ staff held over from the reign of Randy Voller. One of Keever’s more interesting hires for the “transition team” is Tiffany Reynolds Richardson.

Richardson made some news in 2012 as a campaign aide to Secretary of State Elaine Marshall.  That year, Marshall delivered a speech to the Occupy Raleigh rabble.  Richardson videoed the speech and posted it on the leftist Daily Kos web site with this commentary:

Hi Daily Kos! Tiffany here from Elaine’s campaign.

There are a lot of politicians trying to cozy up to Occupy Wall Street – but very few are actually hitting the streets to stand with them. That’s why I’m proud to be working for North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall – someone who hasn’t just embraced the OWS protests, but has actually joined with them on the streets of Raleigh!  […]

Thank you all,

Tiffany Reynolds Richardson
