NC-09: Bishop on fast track to facing McCready in general?
THAT is apparently what National Journal’s Hotline is reporting. So take it for what it’s worth:
[…] NC-09: “Three private polls conducted by both parties in late April suggest that” state Sen. Dan Bishop (R) is on track to secure the nomination in Tuesday’s special primary without a runoff. “Internal polling found him pulling 36 percent of the vote and two other surveys showed him with 30 and 31 percent, according to polling memos obtained by National Journal.”
Meanwhile, Union County Commissioner Stony Rushing (R), who ran a distant second in all three polls, confirmed he will not request a runoff if he comes in behind Bishop. That gives the GOP a good chance of avoiding a drawn-out, costly summer primary battle and uniting quickly against the well-funded Marine veteran Dan McCready (D). (Hotline reporting) […]
Word has it that McCready aides are busy trying to pry their boy OUT of the fetal position.
Remember Pittenger was 37 points ahead of Harris in polls this time last year. We feel very confident that these polls are way off.
