GOP’s Byrne earns trifecta of endorsements in Court of Appeals race from state’s ‘BIG THREE’ police groups

There will only be ONE statewide judicial race for Republicans on the March primary ballot.  That will be a GOP primary between Matt Smith and Michael Byrne for the NC Court of Appeals seat currently held by Democrat John Arrowood.

Police officers statewide are sounding off on this race by endorsing Byrne over Smith and Arrowood.  The big three police organizations represented in North Carolina – The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and the Police Benevolent Association (PBA)have all studied the candidates and come away with an endorsement of Michael C. Byrne.

Michael Byrne currently serves as a judge with the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings where he presides over disputes involving state government.  Prior to this, he was in private practice specializing in representation of law enforcement officers as well as state employees involved in disputes with the government bureaucracy.
