Dallas, Grandpa submit TWO replacement recommends for SBoE
We told you about Governor Cooper shooting down the previous NCGOP recommendations of Buck Newton and Francis DeLuca as potential members of the new state board of elections. Well, the brain trust on Hillsborough Street has come up with two replacement names:
- David Black, chairman of the Cabarrus County Board of Elections (Gosh, WHO ELSE at NCGOP is from Cabarrus County? Hmmmmmm …)
- Kenneth Raymond, a Winston-Salem attorney and former chairman of the Forsyth County board of elections AND member of the previous state board of elections
My money is STILL on Eddie Woodhouse getting ONE of the NCGOP’s two seats. (Right now, among the political elite in Raleigh, it’s good to be named Woodhouse.)
The new state elections board is to be seated and ready for action the first week of February.
