Constitution Party gets a win on Tuesday
The Constitution Party fared pretty well in its first general election in North Carolina. CPofNC candidate Jerry Jones came out on top in a county commissioner race in Greene County.
That’s quite a feat for a party that just got ballot access THIS YEAR. (The Libertarians have a city councilman in Lenoir. But they’ve been around a lot longer.)
As grassroots Republicans grow increasingly frustrated by disastrous RINO control of the party, the Constitution Party is going to gain new members. They will probably field a full plate of statewide candidates in 2020. A lot of Republicans are going to vote for them. Who can blame them?
