Biden-lover, Trump-hater, covert DEM aims for city council in bright-red Pinehurst
Moore County is quite a source of frustration for Democrats. It is a dependable source of GOP votes every two years. (Usually in the two-thirds range)
Left-wing Yankees are trying their darnedest to infiltrate the county and pollute its political landscape. Their favorite trick is to put up candidates for office who register as *Unaffiliated* but reliably pick the Democrat ballot at primary time.
They’ve had some success over the years with the county’s Board of Education. There’s also been some success in municipal elections.
Democrats had some success with their Unaffiliated scam in the most recent village council elections in Pinehurst. An *Unaffiliated* candidate was successful — in spite of her history of grabbing Democrat ballots at primary time.
It appears Democrats were emboldened by their 2023 success and are trying to replicate it in 2025. Someone named Kevin Fitzpatrick has been recruited to run for an open seat on the Pinehurst Village Council. (He is registered UNA but apparently grabs the DEM ballot when he can.)
His platform appears to mirror that of fellow covert Democrat Barb Ficklin. And — shades of Pizzella — he showed up in Moore County after a stint in DC and registered to vote just four years ago.
But, alas, Kevin and his cohorts forgot about his Twitter/X account. It’s been sitting out there unused for quite a while. (But — trust us — we’re going to make real good use of it.)

Wow. If that’s not legitimate ammo for questioning a candidate’s capacity to serve on the Pinehurst council — *I don’t know WHAT IS.*

Folks, the election is coming on November 4. We have three choices to fill two seats on the council. Last time around, far too many people voted for the faces they could recall from their jaunts through the Old Town cocktail party circuit. Not a single thought about their qualifications, platforms, or competence. That left us with what is affectionately known around town as * “Parachute Pat” & “The Gerontology Ward all-stars” *.
While we endure nightmarish traffic and overdevelopment, the group currently in charge at village hall is preoccupied with fabricated stories regarding rental property and a roundabout they have no jurisdiction over.
Get informed. Go vote. (And may God help us THIS TIME.)
A little late, but in 2027 both School Board and all Municipal elections in Moore County will be changed to partisan.
Pinehurst suffers under a Left Leaning former Mayor who inspired and encouraged an unvetted, unelected, unaccountable “citizens” group..”.The Friday Group” to meddle in the Village affairs and take positions regarding town management, town policies…AND who gets to sit on the Village Council. Much of the current council leans left. No one knows their agenda or intent.
For 2025, they are backing a short time Bidenite resident running as an “unaffiliated” (Democrat) candidate. Voters need to look back 20 years and the record of Democrat leadership in Washington, DC, in our once great cities, and their abuse of USAID to comprehend the importance of this election.
Moore County and Pinehurst need sound, practical, experienced, and common sense leadership.

How could Moore County Republicans been so slow to catch on to this “unaffiliated voter” scheme to take over the Board of Education and municipalities? Why wasn’t the party endorsing its own slate of candidates for these races?
