Stein joins fellow DEMs in endorsing rioting, burning, assaults on law enforcement

Yes, that’s our very own Josh Stein — our state’s former top law enforcement officer — joining his fellow Democrat governors to take Trump Derangement Syndrome to a new level:

Statement from Democratic Governors on Donald Trump’s Use of California’s National Guard

DGA Chair Governor Laura Kelly, DGA Vice Chair Governor Andy Beshear, Governor Tony Evers, Governor Bob Ferguson, Governor Josh Green, Governor Maura Healey, Governor Katie Hobbs, Governor Kathy Hochul, Governor Tina Kotek, Governor Ned Lamont, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Governor Dan McKee, Governor Matt Meyer, Governor Janet Mills, Governor Wes Moore, Governor Phil Murphy, Governor Jared Polis, Governor JB Pritzker, Governor Josh Shapiro, Governor Josh Stein, Governor Tim Walz, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer released the following statement:

“President Trump’s move to deploy California’s National Guard is an alarming abuse of power. Governors are the Commanders in Chief of their National Guard and the federal government activating them in their own borders without consulting or working with a state’s governor is ineffective and dangerous.

“Further, threatening to send the U.S. Marines into American neighborhoods undermines the mission of our service members, erodes public trust, and shows the Trump administration does not trust local law enforcement.

“It’s important we respect the executive authority of our country’s governors to manage their National Guards — and we stand with Governor Newsom who has made it clear that violence is unacceptable and that local authorities should be able to do their jobs without the chaos of this federal interference and intimidation.” […]

It’s clear that the goal here is to reflexively oppose anything Donald Trump proposes — instead of working together to halt a dangerous situation that long ago spun out-of-hand.

The Dems don’t want to mention that the last time an end-around was done on a governor to deploy National Guard troops was 1965 when LBJ did it to Alabama governor George Wallace.

Until Trump stepped in, it appeared the plan of the Democrats controlling the State of California and The City of Los Angeles was to sit back and do next to nothing.  *Let the kids vent their frustration.*

Meanwhile, potentially fatal attacks were being launched against local cops and federal agents by people screaming in Spanish and waving Mexican flags.  Police cars were being looted and set ablaze.  Thanks to the violence and road blockage, commerce was being impeded. California was in a state of anarchy. And it would continue to be spiraling further into that territory if Trump had not reacted.

What are law-abiding people supposed to do if neither their city, county nor state officials show any serious interest in keeping or restoring order?  Protecting lives and / or private property?

Has the Democrat Party turned into a friend of the looter, rioter, and arsonist?  It sure looked like it during the 2016 riots in Charlotte and the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.  There’s still plenty of footage of that dingus Roy Cooper marching with the Black Lives Matter crowd in 2020.  (Unfortunately, some NC Young Republicans did too.)
