Josh has HR problems.
Josh Stein, current state attorney general and Democrat nominee for governor, is getting quite a refresher on Human Resources law. Two cases involving Department of Justice employees are in the news right now. Ironically, Stein may have inherited both of these problems from his mentor, current North Carolina governor Gomer Pyle.
A female DOJ attorney filed suit in federal court alleging race and gender discrimination in promotion decisions within the department. (The plaintiff had been hired during the Cooper era at NC DOJ, but the alleged infraction allegedly occurred during the early Stein years as the top dog at DOJ.) Lawyers for Stein and the Department attempted to win a summary judgement and avoid a trial. Last week, a federal judge said: no way, José.
We also have a report about one Torrey Dixon:
A North Carolina special deputy attorney general has been arrested and charged with public indecency and intoxication.
According to court records, Torrey Dixon, 46, was taken into custody over the weekend in Raleigh.
The arrest warrants allege that Dixon exposed himself to traffic at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Blue Ridge Road.
Dixon faces one count of indecent exposure and two counts of being intoxicated and disruptive.
Following his arrest, Dixon was placed on administrative leave by the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, where he has been employed since 2009.
CBS17 in Raleigh had this extra tidbit:
[…] Court records say Dixon had been shouting insults and obscenities at others around him, including threatening assault. Arrest warrants also say Dixon exposed himself on the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Blue Ridge Road in front of other people and cars
According to sources, Dixon was scheduled to participate in the Men Wear Pink Fashion Show at Crabtree Valley Mall for the American Cancer Society. Organizers say they blocked him from entering because he appeared intoxicated. […]
Robinson finally ran an effective ad last night.
Showed all the BLM marches, destruction, looting and Stein’s response on record doing NOTHING as AG. Of course, his boss, was marching right up there with the ‘peaceful protestors, unmasked, though every other citizens for 2Y would be arrested for unmasking….
Coop’s lawsuit that continues from small biz that sued him was upheld by higher NC court. It’s NOT going away though Coop thought it would. He’s guilty and he will be found guilty.
ABC stores, abortion clinics could OPEN; yet a barber, hairdresser or a bar HAD TO BE CLOSED DOWN….
ANYONE voting Stein will have 4 more years of this misery and corruption. And the ad Stein running that ‘he cleaned up the rape kits’ were from none other than his former boss…..Short memory for some, Stein, but not for everyone…
