#ncga: Was COA RINO judge-ette Rep. Darren Jackson’s law partner?

According to the web site for the law firm of the gentleman from Wake County,  that might be correct:

[…] Mr. Jackson is a lifelong resident of eastern Wake County and the father of three children. He and his wife Tina, a Nurse Practitioner, live near the Shotwell community outside of Knightdale. Mr. Jackson attended public elementary and middle schools in eastern Wake, East Wake High School, and UNC-Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science (Class of 1993). Mr. Jackson then earned his law degree from Duke University and passed the Bar in 1996.

With his education complete, he began practicing law in Zebulon with Gay & Stroud. When Donna Stroud left to serve on the bench in 2004, the firm became Gay & Jackson. Mr. Jackson enjoys a typical small-town general practice with an emphasis on personal injury, wrongful death, worker’s compensation, civil litigation and residential real estate.[…]

Soooooo  —   has the NCGOP been repeatedly endorsing the recently former law partner  of the North Carolina House’s Democrat leader?   (And they wouldn’t give Barbara Jackson the time of day.)

Stroud pulled off the neat trick of being endorsed by both the NCGOP AND the Durham People’s Alliance.  I’ve heard of Democrats and Republicans practicing law together.   But I doubt an authentic, good conservative lawyer could stand spending years in a small firm with the gentleman from Wake County.

I won’t knock Darren Jackson too hard.  He did give this site some hellacious statewide publicity one time.
