Robin & Dallas’s lawyer running for NCGOP vice-chairman
Michele Nix is abandoning the sinking ship at NCGOP HQ to run for Congress. In their bid to cling to power, Dallas Woodhouse and his Grandpa have recruited the party’s attorney to try and replace her. (Miriam Chu, a party activist widely and deeply respected among Tea Party activists and moderates, has already announced her intention to run for vice-chairman.)
NCGOP general counsel John Lewis has taken to Facebook to announce his candidacy. Lewis ran unsuccessfully against Nix for vice-chairman in The Year of Hassan. Insiders indicate that the NCGOP is nearly broke. For years, Lewis has been an insider in the clique that has nearly lost all it gained electorally in 2010. He apparently wants to give us two more years of that ol’ black magic.

And THIS GUY wants to be #2 in the North Carolina Republican Party ???? He sounds like a dream hire for Wayne Goodwin.
(Of course, Goodwin might demand that his people know how to spell charlatan.)

He’s celebrating a guy, Teddy Roosevelt, who wanted to push the GOP left. When the party pushed back on that, TR pouted and ran for president under a 
third party — thereby costing his original party, the GOP, a presidential victory. TR’s tantrum also succeeded in giving the United States and THE WORLD Woodrow Wilson.
The Ripon Society is devoted to evicting conservatives from the GOP.
John Lewis devotes a lot of energy to embracing the mystique of the ‘R’ and trashing conservatives. Meanwhile, his opponent Miriam Chu is a devout conservative who embraces conservatism and cheerfully takes pride in selling its successes to people not already on the conservative train.
John Lewis has been an integral part of the team that: (1) has presided over the near complete loss of all the GOP gained in 2010 and 2012, (2) has presided over the GOP’s precipitous drop to third place overall statewide in terms of total registered members, (3) has made Wayne Goodwin incredibly look like a genius by allowing him to beat down the party and its people virtually unchallenged, and (4) has turned the party coffers into a financial disaster.
If you think the last two years have been great, and want two more JUST LIKE IT, vote for Lewis. If you think the NCGOP can and should do better, place your bets and let it all ride on The Lady.
John Lewis is a flaming liberal. The Ripon Society was created by the old liberal Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party to fight conservatives. We do not need a Ripon Republican / Rockefeller Republican as our vice chairman

Received both an unsolicited text and robocall on my cell tonight from Lewis. I wonder how he obtained my number so easily? My favorite part – he’s “horrified” about what happened to Mark Harris. Right.
Again I ask, who is keeping these people funded?
You just do not understand how it works at NCGOPe. We provide all the info and help we can to OUR candidates, and we stiff everyone else. We work to see that OUR guys win. And that weak Central Committee is too afraid to do anything about it, so don’t bother to whine to them. They will follow OUR party line.
Wait till we get our hands on convention delegate lists and watch who gets them and who doesn’t.
I may be small town or proverbial but I would never vote for a guy running to support Chairman Hayes as Party Vice Chairman who called me from Harrisburg, PA. There is a better option.
Look closer, that’s Harrisburg, North Carolina. Not pointing that out to call you out but because it’s also the address that shows up on your phone when deal ‘ol Robin calls. Coincidence?

This guy says he is upset about what happened to Mark Harris. What a crock! John Lewis was right there in the thick of things with Dallas Woodhouse when the party hung Mark Harris out to dry. Lewis is himself one of those at fault for the party failing to put up a robust defense of Harris and call out the Democrat ballot harvesting in the 9th district. They are still keeping their lips zipped as a Democrat prosecutor and a Democrat controlled SBOE fail to prosecute the Democrats who did Ballot harvesting in Bladen and Roberson counties. John Lewis and Dallas Woodhouse have been utterly useless in defending either Mark Harris or the party’s reputation. Neither deserves to hold any office in the party.
It’s sad to see what has happened to Carolyn Justice. She used to be a conservative firebrand and endorsed Newt over Romney in the 2012 Primary, but then she endorsed Hayes over Womack in the 2017 Chairman’s race and now we all see in his blog post her like and post a favorable comment on a “Ripon Society” post. I wish one of my conservative friends down in Southeast NC can go give her a pep talk.
Carolyn Justice allied with Richard Morgan, and should have given her away as not being a dependable conservative. One can also remember that Thom Tillis mobilized his forces to help her get elected vice chairman. Now she is tied up with Red Dome.
I am an activist Republican from Moore County. I know Miriam Chu; I have worked w/her on many committees. I can attest her sole interest is what is best for the Party. She would make a great vice-chairwomen.
