#ncga: House Dems say the darnedest things
No joke. John Autry (D) of Mecklenburg County replaced the not-so-bright Tricia Cotham (D) in the North Carolina House. The honorable Mr. Autry stood up in session today and demanded that the House spend more on climate change before adding any money to a rainy day fund.
I hate to suggest this, but I think this guy was taking the term “rainy,” literally — as in weather. *Boy, growing that rainy day fund will surely bring us more of that climate change.*
He sounds like he’s in a bit of a fog. *Should DEQ and EPA be notified? Should pilots and drivers be issued a low-visibility advisory?*
*With all the snow jobs being pulled on a daily basis on Jones Street, the whole climate change thing should be thrown for
a loop. There’s going to be a real need for shovels and people to operate them. Job training program, anyone?*
*Will this guy be demanding more spending on climate change if he hears the General Assembly switchboard is being flooded — with calls?*

North Carolina is already on board with President Obama’s green agenda, now his green legacy, and lately it is thanks to progressive Republicans who are on the payroll of our hard core environmentalist movement. The Democrats did make NC the only state in our region to require electric companies to buy a set percentage of expensive wind and solar electricity. That is wonderful for the hard core environmentatiist cause even if it jacks up the electric bills of consumers, which it already is. Who cares about piddly consumers when we need to save the polar bears. Redneck peons should not have access to airconditioning in the first place. Even though the Democrats gave us that mandate, it is progressive Republicans like Nelson Dollar, John Szoka, Kelly Hastings, Bob Steinburg, Jason Saine, Tim Moore, and others who have saved it from those nasty conservatives who actually want to save money for consumers.
Then there are the massive solar subsidies that the same set of progressive Republicans have shelled out to support President Obama’s green energy agenda. These solid progressives even went against their own party’s platform to do it. They are polar bear heroes. Who cares that it is costing NC taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars? It is so much better to spend it on saving polar bears than wasting it on schools and roads.
This fellow brings up climate change everytime he speaks publicly.
