We’re seeing all kinds of sympathetic and heartelt coverage of the parents of a Muslim GI who blasted Donald Trump:

The address was the latest effort by Democrats to highlight their diversity and criticize Trump’s most contentious plans. Beyond his proposed wall across Mexico, the billionaire businessman has threatened to ban Muslims from entering the United States if he becomes president.
Capt. Humayun Khan died in 2004 when a car loaded with explosives blew up at his compound. He was 27.
Honoring his son, Khizr Khan pulled a copy of the Constitution out of his suit pocket and offered to lend it to Trump.
“Look for the words ‘liberty’ and ‘equal protection of law,’” he said standing next to his wife, waving the paperback document vigorously.
“Have you ever been to Arlington cemetery?” he then asked. “Go look at the graves of brave Americans who died defending United States of America. You will see all faiths, genders and ethnicities. You have sacrificed nothing.”[…]
O-kay. I wonder how this parent would have felt if his son had been where Patricia Smith’s son HAD BEEN in 2012:

For all of this loss, for all of this grief, for all of the cynicism the tragedy in Benghazi has wrought upon America, I blame Hillary Clinton.
I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son.
In an email to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on terrorism.
But when I saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony, just days later, she looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible.
Since then, I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to explain to me the real reason why my son is dead.
I’m still waiting.
Whenever I called the State Department, no one would speak to me because they say I am “not a member of the immediate family.”
Sean is my son.
Hillary Clinton is a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two. I am a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two.
How could she do this to me? How could she do this to any American family? Donald Trump is everything Hillary Clinton is not.
He is blunt, direct, and strong.
He speaks his mind, and his heart.
And, when it comes to the threat posed by radical Islamic terrorism, he will not hesitate to kill the terrorists who threaten American lives.
He will make America stronger, not weaker. This entire campaign comes down to a single question.
If Hillary Clinton … can’t give us the truth … why should we give her the presidency.[…]
Both sides in this campaign deserve a slap on the hand for daring to use grieving parents as props for the driveby cameras. Beyond that, the two cases do raise interesting questions.
Do the Democrats really want to run on the suggestion that terrorism and Islam have nothing to do with each other? Really? Do they really want to suggest that what happened in Nice, Orlando, Paris, New York, DC, London, Boston, Germany., and that Catholic church in Normandy are just random incidents of violence? *Never mind all the 
guys in the vicinity named Mohamed and the occasional screams of ”Allah Akbar.”*
I don’t see Presbyterians or Catholics running around bombing, decapitating or immolating innocent people. Outside of the kooks at Westboro Baptist Church, I don’t think you’ll find anybody preaching from the pulpit of a Christian church to “kill the infidels in the name of the true God.”
I say let’s have that debate. But do it between Hillary and Trump. And make that shrew have to answer for her role in leaving those people in Benghazi to die, and her and her party’s efforts in the Senate to sabotage the war on terror. Let’s also talk about her and her partner-in-grifting’s roles in the so-called Clinton Foundation — lining their pockets with public and private funds meant to help the poor around the world.
The Trump message is NOTHING akin to the Nazi anti-Jew efforts of the 30s and 40s. (Or the current Muslim harassment of Christians throughout the Middle East.) It’s about hitting pause before our immigration mess blows up into a full-blown nightmare like what Europe is seeing NOW.
After seven years and $8 million, Republicans, in their own report still could not pin the Benghazi tragedy on Sec. Clinton.
Maybe that is what is coming with the next Wikileak. Evidently one of he next leaks has the Assange guy saying Hitlary will be in jail. But that is questionable as Barry would not let that happen no matter what. She could take an SUV and run over his kids and he would probably put the radical progressive agenda ahead of justice.
The report clearly showed gross incompetence of Hillary that led to the deaths in Benghazi. It also showed that Hillary brazenly lied about the circumstances of the attack, which protected Obama politically.
No sympathy. Muslims are America’s enemies and have been since before Presley O’Bannon and his Marines stormed ashore at Derna. And now these enemies are aided and abetted by the DNC.
Muslim’s are fighting ISIS for America in many countries and many Muslim’s are fighting AS Americans.
Your blanket statement would therefore extend to all Germans, all Italians, all Japanese, and even all Englishmen are America’s enemies.
The only ones fighting FOR the USA are the ones fighting as Americans (all 5,000 or so of them HUGE number eh).

One has only to look at the violence and sexual assaults that have been a massive plague in Europe since they let the swarms of Muslim migrants in. We do not need a repeat of that in the US. Hillary has proposed bringing in a million Muslim ”refugees” in her first term. That is about the same number as are now plaguing Germany. Bringing them in as ”refugees” is worse than bringing them as ”immigrants”. An immigrant has to have an affidavit of support which makes them ineligible for most welfare, other than a handful of very temporary programs. A refugee does not and is immediately eligible for all welfare. Most of them sign up and never get off of it. They are a massive burden on taxpayers. It is not just Muslim migrants. Obama is now flying in people from Central America as ”refugees” instead of just letting them sneak in as illegal aliens.
The refugee treaty was probably a good idea under the circumstances of its time, but it is being massively abused today and needs to be either severely modified or totally abrogated.
European agencies have determined that the majority of the Muslim migrants pouring in are not genuine refugees at all but are economic migrants. Many lie about their age to qualify for better benefits as ”unaccompanied minors”. Norway started doing dental development examinations to determine the real age of those who claimed to be minors and found that 90% (ninety percent) of them were actually young adults lying about their age. They also lie about where they come from in order to have a better chance of being allowed to stay, and claiming to be from Syria is the best shot for them. Turkey and Leganon are awash in counterfeit Syrian passports for this purpose. The Muslim terrorist who recently attacked passengers on a German train with an ax is a good example. He claimed to be a 17 year old Afghan, but it is now reported that he looked older than that. He spoke a dialect that is not spoken in Afghanistan but is common in part of Pakistan. There were no identity documents discovered in his room (along with his homemade ISIS flag) but there was an instruction guide printed in a Pakistani language on how to pose as an Afghan to have a better chance of being accepted as a refugee.
We need to stop this refugee program and have any prospective immigrant go through the full immigration process, with massively beefed up vetting if they come from a country with terrorist activity.

That is ethnic as much as religious. The Catholics in Northern Ireland are descendants of the original inhabitants, and the Protestants are descendants of people brought over much more recently from Scotland to help solidify British rule over Ireland. The US descendants of the latter group are often called ”Scotch Irish”. The biggest issue is not really religion. It is whether to remain part of the UK or to join the rest of Ireland. Before that, the division was about whether Ireland itself should be independent or should be part of the UK. It was never ever about religion per se.

The American press has used terminology that painted it that way. The British press, which is much closer to home for Northern Ireland and thus tends to know a lot more about it, usually uses the term ”republicans” for what the US press calls the Catholics, because they support Northern Ireland becoming part of the Irish republic, while using the term ”loyalists” for what our press calls the Protestants, because they are loyal to the crown.
The American press had to come up with different terms because using the term ”republicans” even with a small R would have been much too confusing to their American readers.
The difference is that they are not doing the bidding of their religion. Just because someone is a follower of a religion and bombs someone does not mean they are a radical religious fanatic. That could even be applicable to an Islamist who kills someone for another reason and say does not shout Allah Akbar before committing the crime.
The sad truth is that Islamic terrorists do their deeds because their religion tells them to and they readily and repeatedly admit to doing so because of their religion/cult.

As if it matters, Obama didn’t even become a Senator (much less President) until 2005, long after Khan’s death.
