Lil’ Josh goes to war against “price-gouging”

Boy, for a guy who complained his budget got cut so much he couldn’t do anything, this little one sure is busy.  Think someone is charging too much for their good or service before, during, or after Hurricane Florence?  Never Fear — lil’ Josh Stein, your elfin highly-woke duly elected attorney general is on the case.  I sure wish we could get politicians and drivebys to understand supply-and-demand.  These are some of the same people who think it’s outrageous you can’t buy homeowner insurance — meant to protect your home from future problems – AFTER your house burns down.  Not…

Josh Stein, “science” guy?

Well, fellow Tar Heels, we managed to transition from an attorney general who didn’t do ONE DAMN THING to another one totally committed to being the handmaiden of the radical left. The same guy who spent months whining about not having enough money to adequately represent the people of North Carolina — the same guy who, two years into his AG gig is presiding over the largest number of untested rape kits in the country —  seems to have plenty of time and resources to team up with leftist comrades from across the country in pursuing courtroom attacks on sensible…

There’s a new driveby lap-dog in town!

Wow. It seems like just yesterday that lefties and their driveby comrades had their collective granny panties in a wad about analogies comparing Barack Hussein Obama and his policies to Hitler and HIS policies. Fast forward to this weekend and all of the open borders loonies marching in Raleigh and elsewhere.  Signs with Donald Trump’s likeness — and a Hitler mustache, of course — were all over the place.  And not one word of concern from the alleged fair-minded guardians of the First Amendment.  (Never mind that socialism — something near and dear to leftist hearts everywhere — is at…

Elections have consequences. Josh Stein is a BIG FAT ONE.

We heard a lot of boo-hooing last year from the state Department of Justice about “budget cuts” by the legislature.  North Carolina would be less safe, we were told.  The people’s business won’t get done, we were told. Far-left wacko legislator Josh Stein  knocked off Republican Buck Newton in 2016.  The AG’s office has traveled from Roy Cooper’s do-nothingness to trumpeting the wacky Chapel Hill-Carboro-patchouli & granola-drum circle agenda.  Lil’ Josh dipped his toe into the foreign policy arena by having his office sign  on to a protest of President Trump’s departure from the Paris Accord on greenhouse gases. Now,…

NCGOPe’s Love /Hate relationship with Josh Stein

The GOP leadership on Jones Street lashed out hard at Attorney General Josh Stein for hamstringing efforts to carry out death sentences in North Carolina. Meanwhile, another top legislative Republican is teaming with Stein on some legislation in what some observers might describe as a, um, sketchy PR stunt. Here is what the kids call “the deets” or “the 411”: North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein announced on Monday that he planned to investigate Uber as part of his office’s attempts to strengthen consumer protections against data breaches. The announcement came up during a news conference in which Stein, a…

Crime lab, Shmime lab: AG Josh Stein ignores real problems, focuses on driving America deeper into red

The North Carolina Department of Justice’s crime lab is screwing over crime victims left and right.  Local governments are having to outsource their crime lab work to actually prosecute criminals.  Rookie attorney general  (and social justice warrior / snowflake) Josh Stein has been crying to anyone who will listen about how “draconian” budget cuts are decimating his department. So, what is he focusing his attention on?  Let’s see: N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein says a lawsuit he joined Thursday could help students who attended fraudulent, for-profit colleges ease their federal student-loan debt. Stein joined other attorneys general from around the…

NC libs choose Paris over their own neighbors

Remember how leftists stuck us with those crazy automobile emission standards? Your car HAD to pass in order to get its inspection sticker and stay road-legal.  Leftists thumped their chests and told us THAT was saving our air quality for future generations. Never mind that the emissions tests were not required for every county.  Everybody in Moore County is made to get an emissions test.  But, if someone dares to drive into the county from, say, Richmond or Hoke counties in a 30-year-old beater smoking like The DiceMan, this left-wing wet dream falls to pieces.  The same is true for…

#ncpol: Pin the grievance on the donk — um, jackass.

Former US Department of Justice official J. Christian Adams was a vote fraud expert at the US DOJ during the Bush years.  He quit his post in early 2009 after Obama attorney general Eric Holder refused to prosecute The New Black Panther Party for intimidation at the polls in Philadelphia. Writing in PJ Media, Adams says our new attorney general Josh Stein has some ‘splainin’ to do: […] North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein (D) has been accused of committing serious ethical misconduct in a brief filed before the United States Supreme Court. Lawyers for the North Carolina Legislature have…

Josh Stein = Roy Cooper + John Edwards

In 1998, Josh Stein led the effort to give our state, and the nation, SENATOR John Edwards.  He was “The Breck Girl’s” campaign manager that year when she he upset Senator Lauch Faircloth. From 2001-2009, Stein served as an assistant to Attorney General Roy Cooper.  If you recall, 2005 was the year the problems with the crime lab emerged.  2009 was the year Cooper decided to say and do something about it — due mainly to some drive by media coverage and a few lawsuits.  Stein now wants to replace his old boss in the Attorney General’s office. Until this year, Stein…

#ncpol: Republican AGs smack Stein

If you’ve got time, while cruising around the Internet, be sure to check out the wholesome, good clean fun at www.extremeharvardradical.com.  The Republican Attorney Generals Association (RAGA) put that site up to take a swipe at state senator Josh Stein’s campaign for North Carolina attorney general. A spokesman for RAGA said his group plans to highlight a new instance each week of how out of touch Josh’s Chapel Hill-Carrboro views are from the rest of the state. RAGA’s site details allegations of crony capitalism against Stein during the 2008 mortgage crisis, his vehement opposition to grocery bags, his bro-mance with…
