NC-09: “Baseless” in 2016 = NOBLE in 2018-19

It’s funny how Pat McCrory’s concerns about vote fraud in 2016 – which sound a lot like the stuff we’re talking about NOWwere derided by leftists as “baseless”.  But, in 2018, when  they’re on the losing end, they’ll fuss about the same stuff and defend their efforts as “bringing back democracy.”

Dan McCready — a stalking horse / front man for former Duke Power CEO and liberal activist Jim Rogers  — is doubling down on his quixotic crusade to paint the former president of the North Carolina Southern  Baptist Convention as an amoral, unethical knuckle-dragging crook.

“Stole votes”, eh?  I DO notice that his campaign did not file a single grievance / complaint alleging such.  In fact, he conceded rather quickly after the election concluded.

In civilized America, people who level allegations of “stealing” are expected to produce evidence to support that claim.  McCready’s sore loser brigade is producing a lot of witnesses saying things like “Cousin Bubba told me he heard her cousin Jenny say her hairdresser said …”.

What’s really going to make this little McCready kid look like a fool is if an honest probe of the pre-election activities in Robeson County occurs.   McCready and sources close to him pumped mid- to high- six figures into the wallets of individuals in Robeson County who specialize in the same activities McRae Dowless is alleged to have partaken in. (In fact, it appears some of that money made its way to the college-aged, live-at-home daughter of the most-recent former state board of elections chairman.)

There is pretty clear indication that the level of electoral mischief in Robeson County was substantially larger than anything that may have happened in next-door Bladen.  The allegations in Bladen appear to have Republican ties.  Those in Robeson appear to be tied to Democrats.  So, the media and the Raleigh establishment only want to talk about Bladen County.

  1. I posted this elsewhere , but let me explain our thinking.

We want to see Mr. Harris certified and seated in
    Congress.

We have pointed out many times that our 2016
Bladen County absentee ballot. Harvesting complaint was dismissed by the same democrat
    Bringing all this forward now.

We would love to point out everything the democrats did during the 2018 election in the
    9th.

However those two items are in conflict. Making the argument that. Democrats did things unlawfully
Does not help Mr. Harris. It hurts him. It would feel good, but democrats would use that to further
    Justify a new election .

However the democrat in this race appears DJ have
Many issues on this front . And at the proper time and place when it can’t be used Against Mark Harris , we will bring more of this to the light of day

  2. As a point of fact, all absentee ballots were reported to the state regardless of party, because of widespread complaints to the local board. The State Board of Elections could’ve done something then to the Bladen Improvement PAC and McRae Dowless, but they sat on their hands and did nothing. Many don’t realize in 2016 ALL wrongdoing was reported to the state. The majority was from the PAC however so nothing was done.

  3. When has Woodhouse pointed out during the current District 9 debate anything about Cooper’s frauds in 2016? I have seen the transcript of a TV appearance and actually heard him on radio, and he did not get anywhere close to that subject. I have also read print media quoting Woodhouse and nothing there either.

The contention that pointing out Democrat frauds “hurts” Harris is just nuts. Failing to do so hurts Harris as well as the party’s reputation generally.

How is agreeing early on to a new election, and pushing a bill for a new primary helping Harris get seated? And lets see Woodhouse answer this one – Who at NCGOP told the legislative leadership that “the state Republican Party” wanted legislation for a new primary?

  4. Most of this conversation is irrelevant for the most part. In reality, as long as clueless “RINOs” continue to control the NC GOP and get most legislative appointments (such as to the UNC Board of Governors), the state party will continue its precipitous decline into permanent minority status. I don’t see much hope for the future under current leadership. I know a lot of conservative Republicans looking for an alternative, such as with the Constitution Party. Others have just decided to drop out altogether and who can blame them?

  5. We said that if early voting totals were leaked,
And used in a way that could have altered the ourtcome of the race, a new election could be justified, based on the states action.

This does not appear to be the case and is a moot
    Point at this time.

    1. “New election” was all anyone heard, and those words did NOT need to be uttered at that juncture!

You have also failed to answer the question on who at the party asked the legislature to change the law to require a new primary. Is ducking that question tantamount to an admission of guilt on your part?

    2. Your silence is deafening, Dallas. You are usually quick to come on this board and dispute or explain things, but you are MIA on the issue of who at NCGOP told the legislative leadership that “the Republican Party” wanted provisions for a new primary put in legislation. Since you fail to deny it, we have to assume you took that action and without any authorization to do it.

That legislation, which even got national media coverage, was an unfortunate signal to voters and contributors of lack of confidence in Mark Harris and should NEVER have been done. Those responsible for that uncalled for bushwhacking should not be continued in any position of power or influence in the party.
